12 and 20 probably was right but the dogs might stuff that up for yall
The right price only buys you an uncontracted player that wants to move

The Price changes for a contracted player with Dimma wanting his foster child at his club that will be AA and the cheer squad have already put his name on the banner

Pick #6 plus will be the cost

Things to consider ..

1.Richmond’s ability to bid on Lombard costing the GC 500 draft points equivalent to about pick 38.
2. Richmond can give GC salary cap relief.
3. Rioli wanting a career path after footy. Gold Coasts NT academy program would be a massive carrot for Dan, he’d be able to combine his love of the NT and still work at an AFL club.
4.Dans mentoring role for future NT kids and all young players.
5. If Dan actually wants to go to GC!!! A rare occurrence for a team that struggles to hold and attract its stars.
6. Richmond can bundle up late picks to get points for Lombard.
7. Dans character …
8. Richmond and GC history of getting things done.

It will be GCs first 2 picks for Rioli and a few late picks coming back.

You may keep him, bail out of this mini rebuild strategy you're doing and tell your members we're keeping rioli for leadership and onfield performance but we all know you're just really doing a half ass rebuild and will be found lacking of elite young talent one Tassie come into the fold. Ultimately that's your choice, a pretty simple one.

Half ass rebuild? We will have 6 picks inside 21 without trading Rioli. We trade for Dogs pick & 20 we can just about match the Suns entry and reach the lofty heights of 13th in year 14 of the build.

We paid pick 6 for Prestia at the end of 2016.
Rioli is a far more accomplished player than Prestia was at the same stage.

What i'm saying is that Dimma has proven he will pay what it takes to get a player of need.

Nah I dont agree with this, Prestia was a freakin gun mid.

Pick 6 about right

Pay Dan's wages and another good pick joins the trade.

Tigers have a lot of salary cap, and want the good picks. Suns have little salary cap and lots of picks.

It makes no difference to neutral clubs? Oppos are afraid of the next Tigers dynasty clearly.
My interest is in fair, balanced trades.

Another pick 2 for Weller or GC gifting pick 7 to Geelong should be enough justification for the AFL to fold the gold coast side or at least fire every single person involved in list management

The AFL handing top picks to GC then GC handing them straight over to whoever they choose does not fit with a fair competition

Sounds like you issue is with the AFL and GC then.

My issue is with teams paying significant overs far beyond what is within the realms of reasonable(accounting for contract status).

The AFL should step in for trades that are basically handouts, which is what pick 6 for Rioli would be.

If GC has any interest in making finals they cant be giving out charity like that. If they cant act in their own best interests then something has to be done to the club.

Dimma, craig Cameron, Wayne Campbell. “Richmond men” will make the right decision don’t worry.
