He was judged best player of the finals series. Isn't that leading from the front?
By who? Surely they are on the rock.

Shit captain is shit.
Ihn before Stronzo abuses his new mod powers and closes this thread to save face :).
Not going to happen.

Keep bumping away guys :):thumbsu:

Meanwhile Carlton's young guns like Heath Scotland, Nick Duigan, Jarrad Waite, Kade Simpson, Sultana O'Flappin, Chris Judd and Andrew Carrazzo will dominate the competition for years to come.

3 of the guys you mentioned above were in Carlton's top 10 in the B&F. That's 3/10 that are older than 27. Not 6/10.

Egirls improvement this year came from Glass, Cox, Lynch, Embley, Kerr & Nicoski playing most games in the best form of their careers. We all saw what happened when they went back to the proper (2010) versions of themselves in the biggest game of the year for them.

We also saw the fallout on the Egirls board. Calls for Embely to be thrown from plane and have his legs broken, Priddis should be traded etc.

Your club gave Rookie of the Year to a 21 year old picked in the 2008 draft...

Who was still eligible for the AFL's Rising Star award (should have won it in fact), and still has a potential 10-year career ahead of him.

Duigan will probably have retired by the time your next premiership window opens. The fact he was basically the only contender for your rookie of the year award speaks volumes about the absolute dearth of young stars coming through at Carlton.

An award that most people think should be for 1st year players only?

and still has a potential 10-year career ahead of him.

Every player on an AFL list has a potential 10-year career...

Pretty sure he will be on our list next year....:thumbsu:

The fact he was basically the only contender for your rookie of the year award

It wasn't rookie of the year award. It was best first year player.

Do fremantle even run a best and fairest anymore??? Seems strange that a club so content with mediocrity would have an award for excellence.

The Freo best and fairest is the equivalent of the "I ran in a race" ribbon they give to the fat kids in primary because they are too shit to actually win anything and you don't want to hurt their feelings.

"Most people"? Essendon fans maybe.

Every player on an AFL list has a potential 10-year career...

Yeah Podsiadly is looking at a 10-year AFL career. If Duigan's still kicking around at Carlton in 2020 I'll buy you a nice steak dinner, how about that?

Pretty sure he will be on our list next year....:thumbsu:

Doesn't change what I said. You guys couldn't even make the prelims this year.

It wasn't rookie of the year award. It was best first year player.

Doesn't change my point one iota. How many Rising Star nominees did you have this year?

Look at this fun fact - Failmantle's best EVER season = WC's season after a spoon :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I really do wonder how badly this burns them up. It must be a truly humbling feeling knowing how much better our club actually is. I bet it really sticks in other supporters aswell like Melbourne who are just a permanent fixture in the bottom 4. Seeing us bounce back so quickly must really reminds them how shit they actually are, and always will be.

Steve Rosich the Dockers CEO is well and truly in propoganda mode. It's like Cuddles Connolly and Schwab all over again

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/afl/13813752/dockers-boss-hits-back/

Look at this quote from their CEO today.

"We regularly fill Subiaco Oval. We've got close to 43,000 members again this season"

"Regularly fill Subiaco"  They've averaged 34,000 this year... and that is including home games against Carlton and Geelong who have a big WA supporter base.

Since when is 34,000 regularly filling a 43,000 seat stadium? and where are the other 7,000 members who aren't bothering to turn up
