You really believe the Eagles are that incredibly good that they can finish bottom and then 4th in the space of two season?

When key players like Cox, Embley, Kerr, Glass, Lynch, Shuey and Nicoski were either injured for the majority of the season, complete non-factors, or both, yes it's possible.

Those seven players (besides Cox, who was ok when healthy, but still well short of his usual output) gave the Eagles absolutely nothing in 2010, for one reason or another. This year, they will probably all figure in the top ten of their best and fairest.

Sure injuries can hurt but come on man, you need to put that pipe down and and the reality is West Coast tanked and it's not a bad thing as it will likely pay off for you guys in hindsight.
For what it's worth, Geelong had upto 6 of our best in season 2010 that were suffering injuries but it didn't stop them from giving in and having a good crack. That sort shows the depth of the list as opposed to all the others in the AFL and another reason why the slide won't be as great.

It's ok to have your head in the clouds from time to time, just remember where your feet are. The WCE guy does have a point, but we'd like to think that Scott is clever enough to minimise the attrition from retirements.
