Kochie's sole legacy now and before he leaves the club is to ensure the freedom for the PAFC to wear the bars unrestricted and at anytime of their own choosing.
Nah. His legacy will be a premiership.

I don't need my president to reflect the supporter base, I need him to do a good job and Kochie by and large has done an excellent job. I really don't understand the hate on him for being exactly what you said. So instead we get a wharfie who's a top bloke, great wharfie and can put away a tonne of p!ss but wouldn't know the first thing about running a multi million dollar business? We're supposed to be about striving for excellence, not representation. This is the issue I've always had with Koch. I am torn because he helped our club improve financially at at critical moment in our history but as a person I can't think of anyone further away from the characteristics that make up a Port Adelaide man. He is a decidedly upper class public figure who hosts a Conservative white Middle class television morning program that represents all that is superficial and anglocentric about Australian society. Port Adelaide is not a rich area. Port supporters as a general rule aren't drinking mocha lattes and discussing pyramid schemes or expensive toasters. They are talking about footy at a pub and then heading to the game to passionately support the club that represents the character of their community- hard working, courageous, intelligent. As supporters we have to keep that identity even if Koch tries to turn us from black white and teal into vanilla.

Edit: Also, I have no idea what this "familiarisation of Port Adelaide" is. I think the bloke has done more than most to get us back to the Port Adelaide I grew up watching. The One Club initiative, the Prison Bar fight and under his reign we have blokes like CD ensuring the next generation understand what it's all about. At what point in our history have been more "Port Adelaide" than now aside from when we first entered?
Good that you feel that way. Make a yearly donation to the club then to help.Apart from a premiership, resolving debt should be hs main goal, I hate being beholden to our AFlL masters because of it.
There it is - the cruel reality. Channel Seven will not allow Koch to sack Hinkley.
Do you think Channel Seven would allow David Koch to appear on Sunrise as the Man Who Shot Bambi?
Do you think Channel Seven will ever allow Koch to appear on Sunrise as the Chairman Who Sacked Kenny?
Do you?
You are looking at my scenario thru the eyes of the Sydney detached.Sunrise and most of the people Koch is answerable to at Seven are based in Sydney. Most of them probably wouldn't know who Ken Hinkley is.
"Hey Kochie, if you sack Kev Hinkley you're through in this town..."
Nah.

Try looking at it thru Koch’s eyes. To do that it helps to know him, have personal experience with the fellow.
He is an overblown kid / grandpa who doubtless idolises Bambi ... make that Coach Kenny in deer costume.
For that matter he has never sacked anyone in his life; his paid employees are all family.
It’s not easy sacking someone face to face, by the way. But after you’ve done it once ... ... you’re not the same.
He got the contract extension he was after, so not need to pretend to care about premierships any longer.Pretty clear from Hinkley's messaging this year that how he spoke in the 150th was performative and not an actual reflection of how he felt, because he's reverted straight to type.
Sack him
