Aish is in Adelaide at the moment, if anything he is coming to SA. Pick 5 and 10 to the Pies. Aish has to agree to the trade.

Aish is going nowhere. You can take that to the bank. Just because he's in Adelaide doesn't mean he's coming home. Merrett was in SA too, does that mean he's going to the Crows next year too?

Cheer up mate, he is coming home for good next year.:thumbsu:

The Aish rumour sounds exactly like the '5+7' one that happened as soon as Griffen was announced - thanks to Barrett, absurd.

Brisbane letting go off Aish would be the biggest 180 of draft week, why would they do it?

Still annoyed at Collingwood dragging their feet and stubbornness over this whole deal (because we will keep hearing about it until it's resolved and other trades are being held up because of it).

How well Beams is rated isn't the issue here, it's what market value they can get for him leaving from Brisbane, his "worth" as a player doesn't enter into it. It's a trade, not an auction. It's not even a sale.

So their instance on Brisbane trying to pay overs with players and high pick is just stupid when they're already on the backfoot. He wants to go to Brisbane, they have to trade with them. They're going to have to get what they can for him. 5 + 25 (or 21 instead now) should be more than enough considering they should be hand-tied on this. It's not perfect but it's good enough. Either that, or instead of going for their premium players, go for someone closer to periphery: 5 + Lester or Crisp or Golby would be just as reasonable, slightly less risk as a mid-20's pick.

But unfortunately 'reasonable' isn't in the Collingwood repertoire.

Same applies for Essendon + Ryder...

Brisbane trade pick 5 to Collingwood and pick 21 to north
North trade Greenwood to pies and pick 36 to Geelong
Pies trade beams to Brisbane
Geelong trade varcoe to north

Varcoe will be part of three way trade to Pies

Also in his trade proposal, there's basically a trade of Varcoe for pick 36 that could be taken straight out of the other trade. o_O

This post is beyond ridiculous.
You're saying you expect a club (Forget who it is for a minute because there are many with anti collingwood biases) to accept a deal where they could potentially get more, but they accept less than they should to be 'reasonable'?
No business gets anywhere by being 'reasonable', of course every club or business is going to work as hard as they can to get the best deal possible for their club. This is a negotiation, there isn't any rush to do the trade so I am confused as to why some people are genuinely outraged that it hasn't been done yet.

Aish will only ever play for 2 teams. Lions and Crows.
