Id have taken 25 and 5 without a worry. Planning for ahead is important and a player who wants out will go. The other thing is you could always pick up an experienced played with 25 anyway.

Yep! You will get Greenwood next year, while not as good as Beams he will be a good get and pick 5 could be a potential star.

Schwab mentioned that Collingwood enquired about pick 21 so logic would dictate that Collingwood asked for picks 5, 21 and 25, and seeing as a deal hasn't been done then Brisbane must have said no. Don't worry though, logic isn't everyone's strong suit. Some people are more inclined for over the top and aggressive hyperbole.

Before you comment how about getting your facts straight CHIEF?

Peter Schwab has said 5 and 25 are on the table and if Collingwood don't accept that we will go to the draft.

In your mind you are getting unders for Beams. I see it that you are getting overs seeing he may not be there in 12 months.
Then the boards will be filled with why didn't we take pick 5 and lets sack whoever was responsible.
Brisbane has called Collingwoods bluff and Collingwood will come out of this looking silly in 12 months.

I'd take it - are we getting unders? Probably. But only marginally. You can't win every trade and we've had a pretty good run the last 4-5 years.
