Your an idiot who clearly doesn't know what is behind this tweet, Marco had similar circumstances in his family this year that Dayne currently has, the only difference being the Lions showed the compassion and assisted him with this grief.

Grow up!!
Similar circumstances? Give me a break.

Surely Beams wouldn't be naive enough to think he was a definite to be playing footy in QLD next year. Even if he was id hope that his manager would be in his ear telling him that things might go to plan. With the thought of playing for Collingwood still a possibility surely you'd try and spend as much of the off-season with him (father) just in case he has to play for Collingwood next year?

Let him have his off-season break... if he doesn't want to pay for you next year, he won't anyway.

Looks like Collingwood and Essendon, have lived up to their reputations as being extremely difficult to deal with. When was the last time either of these teams had a smooth trade, without completely trying to screw the other club.

5 + 25 (Probably worth 5+15). Is under, but not by much. When a player, has publicly expressed his desire to leave. You lose your position of power. It's not as if Brisbane or Port Adelaide asked what would it take to get Beam/ Ryder. These guys want to leave.

While your here 3rd or 4th rounder for Cooney?

3rd rd pls

Same reason your President said that Griffen was a "REQUIRED PLAYER".

You are the one who asked a dropkick question pin head.

You're a moron. I asked a question which you failed to answer and you can only comeback with cheap shots at my club lol. You're hurting me bad o_O

You traded in picks 5 and 25?

I thought you received them because you finished in the bottom 4
you seem extremely agitated that we didn't give you pick 5, mayes and aish i think you need to relax friend, goodluck holding onto beams next year :)

Beams will now come out and say he will sit the season out.

Well if he's dumb enough to forego $500k plus by sitting out a season then he deserves to lose it. Sure, he'll make that plus more over his career if he stays healthy but it's still over half a million he'll never get back from that season.

Even if he did which we both know he won't, it's still far from guaranteed he'll end up in Brisbane in 2016 and could very well end up anywhere. In fact i'd go as far to say there's no way he'll end up there if he has to nominate in the draft as it's highly unlikely Brisbane will end up on the bottom and get pick 1. Especially with a team so laden with stars that they're not prepared to give up one of them......

Did any of those blokes "lie" to advoid go to their clubs bnf? He clearly doesn't want to be at the club anymore and all im asking is why would you collingwood supporters want somebody like him at the club next year. Wouldn't you just be better off taking the pick 4 and letting it go?

I think I can talk for the majority of Pies supporters when I say we'd probably rather trade him to GC/GWS than have him back at Collingwood.

Correct, nominating Brisbane only (if this is true as I think I've read) raises many, many questions about the legitimacy of it being solely about his father.

Should his father's other son ask for a trade to the gold coast so that Collingwood can get a worse first round pick?

Papparone must have really wanted to be part of the trade, feel sorry for him he has to stay at Brisbane.
Wow.
I call bullshit. You either have no legal training or you have received it via email from one of those online courses in Nigeria.
Looks like someone is bitter he's never been granted a degree by an actual prince! :p

3AW said Collingwood offered Pick 30 & Beams for.
Pick 5, 21 & 25.
That's a pretty fair deal on Collingwood's part.

He'll still get a salary if he doesn't quit, just sits out.....just not the match payments.
Go back to Queensland and enter the draft the following year with a price on his head in which he's almost Guaranteed to get to Brisbane.

Its the clubs responsibility to make sure every player plays with their brother. Reid being shipped out as we speak. Makes sense

So is it about his dad or his brother that you're questioning?

You said that choosing Brisbane means there is more to it than dad. It's because his brother is there and his dad can watch him play. You tarnish his character over that?

Sorry dude but Ryder gets a top ten pick. Not sure about Beams but Collingwood clearly want to hang on to him.

Also to everyone else, as if Beams won't make a good account of himself next year. He'll go to Brisbane the following year, for less but Collingwood, Essendon and Doggies will make a stand about contracted players giving a hard and fast nomination for a club.

Beams shot himself in the foot by not being open to either club in Qld.

Exactly. If i was in beams place I would say to collingwood that I wanted to be traded to Queensland o be near my father and that I have a preference to go to Brisbane because they have offered the better deal. If collingwood couldn't get the deal done there I would be happy to go to Gold Coast. If the deal couldn't be done there I would just quit footy to be with my dad.

Collingwood has done the right thing here IMO. A contract has to mean something, a mans word has to mean something.

Collingwood were also right to give the deadline they can't let this deal mean that they can't focus on other trades this year. I mean if Brisbane couldn't get the deal done in 5 whole days I don't see what the extra week is going to do.

Collingwood offered Beams time away from the club to spend with his family, the exact same term Brisbane offered Papparone. He just completely contradicted himself on social media without being privy to the circumstances.

More the ceasing negotiations when there's a week of trade period left, also considering the situation Beams is in. That's bloody unreasonable.
I'm sure if Brisbane offer a deal which would've got done before 5pm, it would still get done next week. It's more just about assuming nothing will happen now and moving onto other deals. 5+21+25 would still get done IMO.

Go back to queensland and enter the draft the following year with a price on his head.

How can you still get a salary if you refuse to do a job that you're employed/contracted to do? Pretty sure that'd open up all sorts of legal options for Collingwood. Also are you still allowed to put a price on your head? Serious question, i thought they put an end to that some time ago.

Surely if Brisbane offered $800k then and the AFL knew that figure as i'm sure they would, surely if another club with an earlier pick could offer the same and he'd have to go there.
