I strongly feel Beams will choose the Lions, they'll throw the money and it makes sense to play with his Brother. Players I would look at are Darcy Gardiner, Redden, Rich and the likes. There is no hope we get Rocky. I'd like to think the club would secure a young player and a high end pick.

come on guys. im not the biggest beams fan, but ease up, his dad has cancer so it is a no-brainer to be closer

"Fortius Quo Fidelius";)

Maybe he has a secret desire to play for the Saints ;)

Seriously, it blows to lose good players from the club you bleed for as a supporter. Goddard was my all time fav player until two years ago. Now I wish we would just do the honourable thing and **** off completely. Absolutley love the fact he has screwed himself over by joining the injectors.

Make no mistake...this is all about FA. Greedy players and irrelevant AFLPA are destroying our game. Cheer em one year...abuse em the next.

A three way trade for Dangerfield or Rockliff from Brisbane would do it but neither look likely to happen.

Which ever way you see it we will probably lose out at least for the short term because we will end up either with an early draft pick or a young player.

I think Pick 4 for Beams will be the likely trade, it's not realistic to ask for more than that for a guy who wasn't even an AA and has not won a best and fairest yet.

He has won a B&F

No Dave

I've become what I always hated when I was a kid, the bitter and twisted collingwood supporter. We all become one at some point, I never understood as a little fella....but watching your club continually **** themselves over and just be a basket case....I now completely understand

it's a natural progression for the young, wide (one) eyed optimistic little feels to turn into the bitter, twisted, old supporter who has seen it all before but the love can't let them walk away.

Collingwood shit me

I feel ya mate. Growing up in the 90's with a father who grew up watching us through the 70's-80's I know exactly where your coming from...

There is always the option of going after Clay, pay overs and bring the whole family down to Melbourne.

;) nothing a bit of creative salary cap work couldn't assist with... get Eddie to employ the lot of them with Channel 9 and give the Dad the highest level of medical cover we could offer

(obviously I'm being facetious and just trying to make light of a serious situation that isn't ideal for all parties involved)

Suggestions of Pick 4 for Beams is way too low IMO.

So you think the Club are run by Idiots and Eddie and Bucks has to go?
Our club is a basket case Dave, full of yes men.

I've got no idea how to fix it.

This Trade could set up our next Premiership Team

just trade him now, I can't stand a year of endless speculation about what he's going to do at the end of next year, "beams watch" on 360 every night etc. just trade him now and be done with it.

I honestly have no issue with this. Well, that's not true. I hate that he wants out, but so long as its for the right reasons, which this appears to be, i can't begrudge him.

This is not on Buckley, so before the trolls run wild, do yourself a favour and read up on the issues.

His father is recovering from Cancer. Whether he is better or not is irrelevant. It's clearly had an affect on Dayne, so much so that he wants to be near his home. Tbh, i'd probably do the same thing.

If he wants out, i have no interest in keeping him around.

Trade him now whilst his value is high and under contract. Don't let him become a free agent.
