Well even thought it has nothing to do with the DC:CU no one would see it if it was its right place.

I call BS because Nerdist are sourcing the Collider article from a few days ago. and a week after Comic Con Bruce Timm announced it will have a new 15 min prologue, I dont think the script would have been finished its final draft and that Hamill would have dont all the VO work yet, otherwise they would have announced it at comic con. I think they Collider might have been confused with the fact that Hamill had recorded lines for the film as part of a previous project.

Looks like Chris Pine might be Steve Trevor (and not Hal Jordan as some rumours were suggesting he might). Doesn't seem official yet (nothing from WB or quotes from anyone but a few news sites running with it).

Speaking of Green Lantern...

I wouldn't mind Idris Elba as someone mentioned in the comments section if they go the John Stewart route.

That would be pretty cool! I guess Snyder will presumably have the reins on the JL movies so it might make sense for someone else to do MoS2.

If I'm not mistaken, Affleck is all but confirmed to direct the Batman solo flick?

There's rumours that there may be a trilogy of Batman stand alone films, but not sure who is lined up to direct aside from Affleck.

Nolan for another trilogy! :p

Saw this on IGN, could be good!

"In a massively different approach from Warner’s current slate, the film will team the two heroes together in what’s being pitched as a superhero buddy cop movie," according to Tracking Board. "Comedy is the emphasis here, which is a stark contrast to the other titles in DC’s Cinematic Universe, breaking the mold of the uber serious and grounded Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

A lighter tone movie might give the DC universe a bit more variety - Shazam would probably go the same way too given Billy's technically a kid.

Not sure about Berlanti though - has done some good stuff on Arrow and Flash but didn't he co write the Green Lantern flop? Might be better off sticking with TV...

Looks like Pine has confirmed he'll be Steve Trevor after many months of rumours (also linked to Hal Jordan). Would be interesting to know if he was offered both roles?

Also saw a rumour that the standalone Batman flick will be based on Death in the Family & Beneath the Red Hood.

I think i saw something about Matthew McConaughey being offered Hal Jordan [would make sense if they are going for and older Hal and the GL Corps movie] when it broke he passed on Guardians 2 for Marvel. but prob just rumors/fan made because they have been going around for over a year now. But hope its true

Had read he apparently passed on the villain role in GotG 2 but didn't know he was being rumoured for Hal.

Wouldn't be a bad choice. I saw a few people calling for Jake Gyllenhaal. Love his acting but would he be a good Hal?

Looks like a few more have been cast for Wonder Woman. Pretty keen to see who Robin Wright is (Diana's mother seems to be the rumour) - she's awesome in House of Cards.

"The film also stars Chris Pine (the “Star Trek” films) as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Netflix’s “House of Cards”), Danny Huston (“Clash of the Titans,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), David Thewlis (the “Harry Potter” films, “The Theory of Everything”), Ewen Bremner (“Exodus: Gods and Kings,” “Snowpiercer”), Saïd Taghmaoui (“American Hustle”) - that's the dude who was in that photo glen, Elena Anaya (“The Skin I Live In”) and Lucy Davis (“Shaun of the Dead”)."

Another tidbit I read from earlier.

Some speculation a Birds of Prey movie might happen down the track as they are looking to add Black Canary to the universe (possibly appearing in Justice League). Hopefully will stay away from Laurel if that's the case lol. I wonder if we'll see a Green Arrow make the jump too? Charlie Hunnam would be my pick.

He already has the goatee for it

Indeed and last I heard, he had finally stopped his biker lifestyle. Maybe a spot of crime fighting and archery might be what the doctor ordered.
