Jackson just doesn't look that invested. Same deal as the back end of last season. Does he actually like football?

Jeremy Cameron doesn't give a stuff about footy either not sure it really matters. One of em grew up doing farm work putting in hard yards even when he didn't want to. The other ran home as soon as he could to be safe an comfortable and have his mum do his washing.

I wouldn’t write Dogga off long term. But Freo was never really the right choice with Darcy there. I get that he only ever wanted to go there but they may well live to rue the decision. Especially if this years pick is an early one.
WCE always made much more sense. Really surprised they didn't go harder for him tbh.

Tbf on Hogan, he hasn't been at home/played for freo for about 3 years now and is playing somewhat decent footy (2 goals a game)
Hogan never wanted the limelight. Being an underperforming, highly paid star recruit in a footy bubble like Perth was never going to work out for him.

Correlation of being away from deadshit mates and playing decent footy is strong. Happens so much when WA guys return home.

The timing of the trade was impeccable, if he lasted another year with us playing the way he was at the backend of last year we struggle to get a second round pick.

Yeah , and made the right choice going to the Giants. But what I mean is, at least he's realised what's better for him and his career

It’s hard to think of too many high profile recruits that go back to WA and perform well consistently. When West Coast have been strong it’s usually building from a base of drafting and retaining your good players. Freo have always thrown cash at high profile Perth/WA boys to come home and they have rarely had good results in doing it.

Lobb has been a massive success when compared to McCarthy, Hogan and Jackson (so far)

Lobb had a good year last year but was pretty flaky otherwise but yeah still miles better than McCarthy and Hogan. Bradley Hill had an excellent year where he won a B&F but like Lobb it felt like he was looking at the exit not long after he’d arrived.

Even going a way back, Farmer probably never played as well at Freo as he did at Melbourne. Just feels like the hype and big pay packets don’t seem to yield results.

Peter Bell is coming to mind, and I can't think of anyone sooner. Chris Tarrant went alright but pretty sure he was a Vic boy.

Tarrant is victorian. Bell was good. Probably the #1 success story.

Farmer was bloody average and boring for Freo honestly. The highlight goals and marks very rare for them. Never the same player he was for us, that's for sure.

Des headland I spose

I don't think Des ever reached his potential anywhere, he should have been a gun. Saw glimpses but never could put it all together for a stretch. Very Colin Sylvia'ish in terms of a career that should have been more than it was.

Yeah Luke Mcpharlin probably the major success and even then they paid the world for him and Croad then gave him back to the hawks lol.

Anyone wanna take on a fun little job? Surely someone would get some joy going through the game and making a compilation of all his dropped marks. I wanna count exactly how many it was but I can't bring myself to watch that shit again.
