I think the Dogs will dig in on this, they need to show some spine.

If you got offered 4 and 7 you'd take it for sure wouldn't you? OK losing your captain but it's not like you shopped him around. He requested to leave.

You're getting overs, and as much as the Dogs are improving will they be a flag threat by 2018 which is (roughly) gonna be Griff's last year. Getting 3 top 10 picks could really set you up given that you already have the likes of Liberatore, Bontempoelli, Stringer, and MacRae.

Obviously losing Griffen and Higgins (and potentially Cooney) will do some short term damage.

Essentially saying Garlett is worth about pick 61... I knew he had fallen out of favour at Carlton but didn't think his value had diminished that much. Was a 40 goal small forward in 2013.

Coniglio is also not in GWS top half dozen performing mids !
With ward treloar greene Whitfield sheil scully hoskin-Elliott and Kelly ahead of him he may be getting limited mid time in the future .

Wouldn't it be in GWS's best interest to do it while he is still contracted, and get a better deal from us?? Sure it's probably not best for us to do it now, but f**k it, let's start improving now, instead of waiting for things to happen 12 months down the track, after another shit year when some of our own players may request a trade due to our overall shitness.
