I give Shootout a good chance and Metal Bender while Shocking is allways in the top 4 placegetters at Flemington and Descarado is impossible to leave out IMO. It makes for nice box trifecta for me!!

1,2,6,7,8 for a Flexi Box trifecta cost $25 for 41% of the dividend and hope SYT misses out alltogether to give a better price for the trifecta.

Decarado's odds cant come down quick enough. Have a feeling it won't even come close to repeating its Caufield run and finish well outside the Top 4.

Think I might stay away from this one. So You Think really should win easily, but still <$2 not really worth it in these conditions and you wonder exactly how hard they will go if it gets pushed wide with no cover early.

Wind has changed here in the West of Melbourne and is blowing very cold from the south.

Track downgrade to dead as well. By race 9 it will be close to heavy.

I actually think SYT will love taking the sit, he will only be midfield in a smallish field anyway, and will have plenty of time to catch the leaders.

The rain is the worry, but I want to see SYT win, he's the best horse in the land.

well, ive already got star witness and maluckyday up in the first four... i know it wont last, i probably wont pick another winner today.

thought id ride my luck and take a tri in the mackinnon - syt one out, shocking one out second, ive got about 6 boxed onto third. hopefully i do better than the $30 tris of the last couple of weeks that ive hit, but probably not given the horses i have in one and two

I think Metal Bender will run a big race in the next, before the Caufield Cup race he was one of the boom horses on the scence, I personally think 2000 is more suited, track will be a bit firmer today and if he doesn't get boxed in should be strong to the line.

Linking it with exotics with So You Think.

Going to put a few on Jungle Ruler now, loves the heavy stuff, not a particularly strong race and should be pretty soft track come race 9.

I'm probably 5 minutes from Flemington and it's been pretty solid rain for probably the last hour and a half.

Not bucketing down but just steady rain.
