This. The wells trade was a disaster. Whether he has talent or is a good bloke or is fat or whatever, the decision is ridiculous.

We've been patchy all year. How many great games did we play?
To make it to within 4 points of a grand final we had no business getting to is amazing.

Very frustrating season of inconsistent performances. I do really think we were lucky to get top 4 given some of our very very poor losses - including to GWS. But we did. And we almost made a grand final.

Weird season. Will be interesting to see what next year brings.

his recent comment in the press about adelaide, his girlfriend and kids, and tonight dropped everything that came his way until the third qtr.

he's a mental player. tonight he played disappointed.

He has no kids and why ask for 7 years when you want to go Home?

That's bulls**t and it makes me angry when people say things like this. We battled all year and showed huge character in the second half of the season. We beat the top team in the first week, but just seemed flat today. The Giants played very, very well. They deserved their win today, as hard as that is to swallow!
Finishing third in an eighteen team comp is only a wasted year if you think the only success is a flag.
Disappointing game today for sure, but I'm not going to bag the boys or our coaches. They gave me plenty of joy this year.
When does training begin?
I’m not going to sit here and bag, however the reality is premierships is how we measure success, we should have won one last year, and we should be playing for one next week. But we haven’t done either.

We have a talented playing group which is looking more and more likely that they will have nothing to show for it, opportunities don’t come round often and we have wasted them in the last two years.

So shaky today, many players not clean enough and as a result we find ourselves down by 5 goals in the last quarter.

We have a very good list, just need a few tweaks.

Positives from today were Maynard, Crisp and Moore. Howe and Grundy were good, but there were a ton of mistakes mixed in from those two, mostly Grundy's inexplicable tapping defensive side in wet conditions.

Negatives were Treloar and Adams. They had mares.

This year just never worked, we almost stumbled into a GF, but in reality, we had too many good players miss too much footy.

High hopes for next year with Sier, DeGoey, Cox, Landon and perhaps Beams getting some consistent footy.

We simply got out played today and left too little to too late.

I don't think our tactic of knocking the ruck contest to Grundy's feet has worked well most of the year. When he takes it on himself, we're much more dangerous. Again in the last quarter, magnificent as he was, the soft taps to his feet in our forward line weren't advantageous when we really needed a clearance and a chance for one of our forwards to get a mark or free kick. Clearances in the first 3Q were terrible given the hit outs were 41-10 and we were 9-3 down in centre clearances. Needs to be worked on significantly, because it wasn't just a story of today.

Our backs were generally very good today and all year. Moore was fantastic, Maynard, Howe and Crisp tried hard. Roughead has had a good season They've been the second most miserly defence of the year and Longmuir may be a loss if poached.

We do tend to have too many light bodied players and it hurts us at times, including today. Brown, Thomas, Noble, WHE, Phillips, Aish, Stephenson - all under 80kg. Fail to make a lot of tackles, get beaten in marking contests and around the ground. While many have been critical of Thomas, he showed his value in the last quarter today. he doesn't need too many touches to hurt teams. He knows how to find the goals and he knows how to rove. By contrast, Brown doesn't do nearly enough roving and is too small, but he has made improvement this season. He looked out of his depth for both finals and in the past few weeks to be honest. Varcoe is built for finals and should have played. De Goey and Greenwood were a loss in that respect. Varcoe for Brown and Shaz for Aish may have been better selections.

For the most part it has been a good season. An opportunity lost today as I think we would have matched up quite well against the Tigers with De Goey back in.

Beams, De Goey, Langdon, Greenwood and possibly Cox and Sier will add something. Quaynor can develop further. Outlook for next season still looks pretty promising.

I'm so sorry guys. Not being a smartass. I know emotions are at a high.

Just sucks. Obviously not the best team performance but the umpires were really quite amusing tonight, borderline if not full blown cheating.

Nobody apart from my own team I want to be successful than you guys. Love so many of your players. Nothing against the Giants to be honest, I like them too, but you guys are a favourite.

Bucks presser was so respectful, it's almost cruel in a way to make him have to front the media after something as heartbreaking as this. That last quarter was deadset the most exciting 30 mins of football I've seen. Just riding you guys to get the win.

It's obviously easy to say 'there's always next year', but that's two years in a row you guys have been so close. It's hard to know how the group will react, how the group will change personnel wise, and how the rest of the league will change. So whilst you've got a great team, other teams will get better, and worse, so you can't tell how it'll go next year. At the end of the day there is a fantastic group of players there along with a great coach, so there will be a big chance. I guess you just have to hope this will galvanise the players and hopefully some silverware will arrive in 2020.

its so hard supporting this club at times, we get teased and get filled with hope that we can go all the way and more often than not fall short. It's absolutely shattering when you are so emotionally invested like most of us are.

its times like these i question whether we will taste that success again :(

It won't be... We are completely hamstrung by that stupid ass Beams trade.

It's amazing we have been as competitive as we have considering the Wells, Murray and then Beams trades. Terrible list management

100% right about all 3, trading 2 first rounders for Beams was insane, over the years we could have got multiple gun forwards, Lockett, Gehring, Stevie J and Lynch
but we persist with Miochech
and the gimmick in Cox

Spot on. We barely feel like a top 8 side.

Hey Temploar, why you so mad bro? You realise it okay for people to disagree with you, thumbs down one of your comments and expect that you won’t go on a childish crusade to thumbs down every of their comments even on topics not related to your original comment? lol.

Best laugh I've had all night cheers mate.

We need a ruckman not a giant ruck rover. 2 good firsts from adelaide and bye bye.
What good would that do? We would just butcher those draft picks up anyway?

2 seasons in a row where the stars havent turned up for the last game of the year.

It starts and ends with pendlebury, sidebottom, treloar, grundy.

Grundy was good, Pendlebury was okay considering he was blanketed by the best tagger in the game - was at least effective when he got the ball.

The others were trash.
