With a number of teams missing players to State Representation, the dynamics of some matches will be altered with the weather being another factor to consider.

Bulleen Templestowe vs Parkdale
Williamstown vs Old Paradians
Old Mentonians vs Banyule
Peninsula vs North Old Boys
Whitefriars vs Old Geelong

Good luck to all, especially those representing the Big V.

Rumour has it that the Panthers had less than a dozen players named for the magoos on Thursday night. Had to do a Friday phone hook-up to get a team.

Word is OM are trying to poach coaches for 2012. Who would want to coach them considering the major problems at the club and what little administration they have.

Round 13 Selections:

North Old Boys vs Old Geelomg
Old Paradians vs Whitefriars
Parkdale vs Peninsula
Old Mentonians vs Williamstown
Banyule vs Bukkeen Templestowe

Good to see those 8 or so budding Premier Section players from Parkdale play in the C-D4team last weekend.

Sooner they head off back to Southern Cowboys League the better.

Maybe you shoud stay outasiteoutamind as Parkdale are not going back to the Southern Cowbows league any time soon so get used to them. Also those 8 or so budding Premier section players maybe couldn't be stuffed playing in some junket game that means nothing last weekend and would rather play with their mates.

Yep, the top 3 play the next 3 so they can either put a gap on 4-6 or the teams may get even closer

Also with 7 v 8 and 9 v 10 its big all the way down, Parade lose and they are back in the relegation zone, they get up and they should probably hang on but the battle the following week against OMs will decide it once and for all

Massive games all around this week with implications for finals spots and relegation drops, and wouldn't be surprised at all with any of the results.

North Old Boys vs Banyule
Bulleen Templestowe vs Old Mentonians
Old Geelong vs Old Paradians
Parkdale vs Whitefriars
Peninsula vs Williamstown

Bulleen-Templestowe and Old Geelong really the only teams with nothing to play for this week-end.

Quiet on here. Any match reports from the weekend. Good to see bt break their duck. Peninsula continue to roll on nicely. 4 far from set.

Sudds, I watched a little of the game (9 vs 10). The (very!!) young tyro's from BT played very well, led by stars Florance and Considine. They will bounce straight back from divy 2....should only take one year to re-group! Mentone were very disappointing. The days of Acreman, Stroudy, Drew Solley, Murph etc are well and truly gone!

It's stating the obvious, but there are a number of massive games this week that could just about resolve the final four and the relegation battle. Will be plenty of people checking the final scores as they come in.

Bulleen Templestowe vs Peninsula
Old Geelong vs Parkdale
Williamstown vs Banyule
Old Mentonians vs Old Paradians
Whitefriars vs North Old Boys

Interesting round of footy. The Peninsula bus keeps rolling along nicely although scores looked very close. Whitefriars spanked at home to nobs who rebound after heavy defeat. Parkdale look as though they will sew up a second semi birth. Willi and friars starting to look shakey.

Any match reports?

NOBS big winners on the weekend by my reckoning. Given they play the bottom three teams they seem likely to finish on 11 1/2 wins. That means for them to miss finals two out of Whiefriars, Willy and Peninsula would have to win their remaining three games. Given Whitefriars play Willy and Peninsula in the last three games that seems unlikely.

Wow. Nice and dead on here since last Sunday. Have the Bears frightened everyone away ?

Round 16.

North Old Boys vs Old Mentonians
Old Paradians vs Peninsula
Parkdale vs Williamstown
Banyule vs Old Geelong
Whitefriars vs Bulleen Templestowe

OP have not been as bad as their position on the ladder suggests so yesterday's result was not all that surprising. It was a good result for Willy.
We will be barracking for BT next week against NOBs

What is happening at Willy? All the talk early was of them being premiership favourites. Did they believe their own hype? Getting smashed by Banyule is fair enough but 112 points to Parkdale, draw with Old Mentonians and now they come up against the Friars in a must win without having had a win in the last month. Big questions for that playing group on Saturday!

Some big games over the next 2 week. The Friars / Willy / Peninsula fight for a finals spot will be massive. Friars are a game ahead and play both Willy and Peninsula. But Willy play Bulleen and Peninsula play Geelong with both expecting wins.

Nobs should have 3rd locked up but with Bulleen hitting their straps and Parade finally winning a close one against a tough Peninsula side this may not be the case.

The Round 18 clash of Parkdale v Banyule could be colossal. Most likely they will face each other in the 1st week of finals so do you rest players or try and get the mental edge for the finals. Oakley averaging almost 7 goals a game could be the spark to get Parkdale over the line.

The results on the weekend helped Friars, if Peninsula got up it would have required Friars to win both games, now 1 win and not getting thumped in the other will see them make finals as they have about 15-20% on both sides now

But if NOBS trips up again then if 1 team beats Friars they gets a spot as well. Could end up with Peninsula and Friars playing 2 weeks in a row as well. I think if Friars win both games then NOBS should get there winning just 1

As for the Parkdale v Banyule game, it should be a cracker, I remember umpiring a game many years ago between 1st and 2nd in rd18 and the FF kicked 9 goals, the supporters gave the FB heaps and questioned his place for the following week :D They went on to meet in the GF with that side winning all 3 matches between the teams over the 4 weeks

But it was a really enjoyable game and its a great fixturing if you could get 1st v 2nd in rd18 imo

Bit of a suprise to see Peninsula go down to OP, to continue the shock results to teams fighting for the finals will we see BT win their 2nd game next week and ruin NOBS chances?
Not sure that it was the shock or surprise that you think Eddie. We've lost three games by less than a goal, and two others by less than two goals. Our endeavour and spirit has been high but we just lack those extra couple of players with a bit of polish that our opposition have. If anything, Saturday's result was reward for effort.

No doubt, we have been pushed both games against you and seen that you do not belong in the bottom 2 but Peninsula have been flying the last few weeks and would have expected to win that game to keep their run to the finals going
