My god , your very bitter. Who was whacking who. There was a report and he will get off, might not even make it to tribunal.

There was no one "going around whacking blokes".Yes there was a report. He claimed it was an open hand, I am told that is still in dispute and some believe it was a clenched fist. Time will tell on the judgement of that. As for my comment on the cheap shots in the second quarter, the same player had a role as a spare in defence who took a few cheap swings, none of which connected.

As much as I hate the behind the play stuff that can sometimes happen, the view that there was a "bloke going around whacking blokes" is unfair and I don't wish to propagate that view any further. Other than that he and you know to whom I refer I am sure.

There’s 3 games there every week. Plenty of parking at the East Malvern Railway Station so that won’t be an issue.

For those who have not visited the Bell recently and recall how bad the deck was in years past was be assured it has been immaculate for some time now and is in great nick, despite the huge amount of footy traffic it gets during the season.

Martinov cleared at the tribunal, as he should have and the panel was surprised it even came up.

It was a waste of time , with the umps ego getting in the way. Mr Jones from SMS was lucky as straight after he let one go at Martinov and missed and that was on the vision.

And here I was being nice Bedford.

The reason Sid Jones took a swing at Martinov is that he just saw Martinov throw a gut punch to Charlie Angley (the biggest for Ormond on the smallest for SMS).

We all agree that the video showed a closed fist.

To paint Jones the villain and Martinov the victim here is pretty poor form. The 12 minutes he was given was probably not that big a deal, he was blowing pretty hard and needed a rest anyway.

Martinov was the one throwing them at the SMS forwards during the second quarter and was lucky none of them connected......seriously, get your blinkers off.

It wasn't a gut punch, it was a shepherd and I was being nice. Watched the whole game and didn't see what your talking about. Strong tackles are allowed and coming from a giant they hurt more, that's footy. The big fella has played all up 400 games from juniors and only been reported once , when a GE player and him were both going for a loose ball and he got him slightly high. I would think he will be done whenever we finish.

Totally agree Speccy, a few more people saw that as well. Interested in old man bedders crying wolf as he's quick to take pot shots at other clubs blokes but very quiet on his own. Should have got 2 weeks.

Nah not a bitter bone in my body, just added it to the end of my post as Mr Bedders suggested nothing in it but he was reported ? Point taken if he got off. How are the young blokes at the gun feeling, did they go down to the GF ?

I'm sure if he was a thug, he would have been booked a few times , as he's played plenty of B and C grades where all are recorded. Hope the great man goes out on a high.

IMO he was given a job as spare man in defence that, due to lack of pace, he struggled with. Arrived at the contest late and was frustrated. A long and illustrious career.

The report did Ormond a favour as he was having a bad day. Apart from that it just wasted a fair few people's time. No one went to the 17s , too heartbreaking.
