I would think we are keeping things quiet , but apart from 1 position all is good. That is all.

If GI is referring to Matt Hine, who played at De La 4 or 5 years back, and his brother then this is old news. Not sure Ormond are “keeping things quiet” when it was put out on the club’s social media platforms a while back!

If it is the Hine boys I’m not sure why he thinks De La were chasing them.

Had 2 solid seasons at De La a few years back. Not disputing he is an Ormond lad, just questioning why you believe De La was chasing him.

Will be handy at this level.
He might be referring that Waldron was upset not to get Matt. When I said quiet , I meant there will no fanfare like SKOBS. They have gone to another level.

Maybe, although I understand he was never on the radar and there was never any expectation he would play ‘A’ grade again. In fairness to SKOBs landing 3 well performed, high profile AFL players is somewhat more newsworthy than a handful of ex juniors returning from various country competitions. In any event, I believe it is good for clubs to share information on recruits with their supporters and the wider VAFA community. Ormond not shy in doing this and nor should they be.

Yes the Pres is not backwards when it comes to publicity. Also, was not bagging SKOBS. I just have a problem with the points at all levels, as the money is killing a lot of comps, it should be 40 points.

I’m with you on that one. 40 points seems more than generous with maybe a few extra set aside for District clubs with no junior feeder.

Best Prez the club has had since Adam was a toddler.

Fantastic to see the great Barney back in the fold. If only he could convince his son to re-join him.;)

Has done every known volunteer role over many years. From sweeping out the change rooms to washing jumpers to being President. Not sure what his current role is but he would still be involved in some capacity.

Doubt he would have been the Honorary Treasurer

What happened to the St Johns super coach, i see he's at korumburra in Gippsland.

Not sure, he seemed to do well with that group, however they couldn't get it done in finals 2 years in a row

Saw him at the D2 grandfinal, and it was a throwback to the 80's where every player who came off copped a spray

One of the worst - full stop. '80's type behavior gives those years a bad wrap. Look for St John's to be pillaged by the "great" clubman with $'s offered for their top liners.

Had some good players, but no plan and no sideline ability. I think the pre season headline last year from the Dandening Leader summed him up.

"Assistant hired to help balance firebrand coach"

Assuming Firebrand is media speak for sh*t bloke.
