Nobody should applaud an unsavoury act. Nobody should condone it. However, if nobody seems to know who, umpires, video etc..then we can only hope the VAFA somehow gets the correct info and does something.
If Whitefrias fans and club have ever had a player before the tribunal and still support the club despite this act..over the top righteous comments would seem a little misplaced.

Yes it does matter. Getting bumped because you just copped a goal happens in every game in the country week in week out . It also wasnt a bump to the head.
Also, had enough of people saying "young bloke". It's senior footy. There is no special consideration on the ground because it's a "young Bloke"

How about the friars fans who came onto the ground after the game wanting to fight the parade players... Should they get life bans?

Well old mate getting bumped after a goal is one thing but getting knocked unconscious after a goal while you're not looking is a totally different issue! Obviously you saw what happened to be able to claim it was not a bump to the head, so perhaps you could assist with the investigation by identifying the culprit which it seems you club was unable to do. With regards to spectators after the game no excuses for that but did any Parade player get knocked unconscious?

Can we just back the truck up on this one for a minute. No one wants to see unsavoury acts, especially when they lead to someone getting concussion, but the player was wearing a helmet. Perhaps he is more predisposed to being knocked out REGARDLESS OF THE REASON. There are players who get concussion from seemingly the most innocuous contact, and others who couldn't be knocked out even if they were hit by Byron Pickett. The result cannot determine the punishment. Only the action should.

I didn't see it. I was celebrating the goal. I kind of wish I DID see it, so i could comment. I didn't though, so I'm not going to throw our rumours and heresay, and if the VAFA have footage of it, then I guess they will use it to do what they do.

Unless you have any evidence or video footage at all then it is the umpires role to adjudicate

There is video footage that was being filmed on the far side that I would imagine the VAFA have been given

Of course I assume there is no issue with the parade supporters abusing Whitefriars supporters after the game at the WF race instead of going and celebrating with their own team...

I do like how Parade are trying to claim innocence here, talking to officials of another club on the day, this seems the norm for Parade and they are used to their thuggery.

This is NOT the norm for Old Paradians. Please provide me with all the examples of the reports and suspensions of our players in 2018 ? For a team built on such thuggery there must be a list a mile long.

If your players don’t king hit opposing players behind play and spend the whole game taking cheap shots behind play and hitting supporters then there wouldn’t be any abuse towards them.

Had a couple of unlucky games this year. VAFA official at the first game agreed it was a disgraceful umpiring performance to get Parade over the line. Other club officials agree it was disgraceful conduct by Parade yesterday, maybe it’s more one club is getting away with plenty.

As for reports, obviously your guys have become experts at doing it behind play. Maybe that’s why someone kept the camera on it...

Pretty strong claims here. Just confirm that you're alleging we routinely king hit opposing players behind play. Is that what you're saying ?

And there's my point. Once again, it was the umpire's fault. At our ground you had a player miss a shot in the last quarter that would have pretty much put the game out of reach. He wouldn't miss that same shot ever in his life, but the focus was all on the umpires.

Whoever wears a helmet for parade, took out the bloke (in a helmet) unprovoked, off the ball, when he was not expecting it, when play had stopped after a goal was scored.
the victim was unconscious for minutes and barely managed to get off the ground without continually collapsing and helped by multiple people.

It was thuggery at its finest: intentional contact, severe impact. If there is footage VAFA has no excuse but to give him weeks. It was Pathetic.

Parade should hang their heads in shame for condoning that kind of behaviour.

Let me be clear here and at the risk of repeating myself he was laid out off the ball when he wasn’t watching!!
So whether he had a helmet or was pre-disposed to concussion is irrelevant as the act of a player who is captain of your club taking that opportunity to lay out an unprotected player is a disgrace and does not belong in our game!

Captains are suppose to set an example of how to conduct ones self on the field. Playing hard and attack the footy, not the player.
Horrible leadership - I can only imagine parade has a club culture problem if they defend this and allow someone who does this to be captain.

A good Captain would stand down after this event.
A good Club would be honest with officials.

Looks like your blind defence is going to be found out - video doing the rounds and very clear it was in plain sight. If true it’s your captain, he’s about to miss out on a potential flag for a dog act off the ball, really disappointing.
