Just letting you know it is an Albert park 'home game' however the game has been moved from their ground to St Kilda which is odd. But thanks for tipping OW anyway ;)

So I have to change my tip.

Footy will be the winner on the day.

3/6 last week not my finest

Aquinas v Richmond Centrals
it only took 2 weeks for the tigersnakes to prove me wrong, but still going to have to go with the home side to make it 3 from 3
Yarra Valley v UHS-VU
yarra steaming along should get it done, the zoo keepers might struggle way out in the wild.
Ivanhoe v Kew
mitch to bounce back at home just, should be a very good indicator of where the sides are at
Albert Park v Old Westbourne
good win last week & the falcons struggling
Kerry v Cork
kerry struggling atm & cork had a good win & close loss on the postage stamp so sticking with cork
St Francis Xavier v Hawthorn
the x men will give the hawks a real touch up in this one, not going to be a fun drive home

My tips for Round 3 are:

Aquinas over richmond Centrals by 28. Aquinas are travelling well and while Richmond will make a game of it, they will find it tough to get the points at Aquinas.

Yarra Valley over Uni High by 46.Uni High to make Yarra fight but they will be too accomplished.

Ivanhoe over Kew by 33. Ivanhoe will need to make sure they match Kew's fight. If they do, they should win well.

Albert Park over Westbourne by 39. Kew thrashed Westbourne and Albert Park are every bit as good as Kew.

Elsternwick over Powerhouse by 62 points. Hunter, Mahoney, Grace and co to outclass Powerhouse even given that the small ground will suit Powerhouse in a scrap.

St Francis over Hawthorn by 72 pts. A long trip east will do nothing for the Hawks confidence going forward.

What can be gleaned from Round 2:

The competition is not as strong as last year which will make for an even year.

Yarra are the side to beat with Aquinas shaping as their early challenger.

Uni High are at about the same level as last year and should challenge while Kew will trouble and beat quite a few sides but are still some way from the top level.

The Hoes have a lot of work to do and need some of their 20 to 21 year olds to fill the breach left by the loss of a few experienced heads while Elsternwick appear to be much the same as other years.

St Francis could be a big challenger and Albert Park will win their fair share.

It's too early to tell with Richmond after a good win on the weekend but Hawthorn, Westbourne and Powerhouse appear to have a tough road ahead.

Thanks Wamba for reading us all the ladder...

Albert Park over Westbourne by 39. Kew thrashed Westbourne and Albert Park are every bit as good as kew.

Not sure on your logic Wamba. Collingwood were smashed by Carlton. Essendon beat Carlton, the collingwood beat essendon.

...

On that note, old westbourne for me. Coach is back from jury duty and will have the boys firing for this one.
Westbourne have never lost at the peanut farm

Isn't the Peanut Farm where St Kilda City play??

Aquinas vs Richmond A chance for the old boys to keep pace with the divisional leaders.
Yarra Valley vs UHS-VU The wine-growers look like the leaders of this pack and should recordanother win.
Ivanhoe vs Kew Expect the 'Hoes to bounce back with a strong win.
Albert Park vs Old Westbourne Think the Falcons can improve and get their first win and stay clear of that relegation zone.
Power House vs Elsternwick Doesn't seem to be any light for the House team and expect the 'Wicks to prevail.
St Francis Xavier vs Hawthorn Pivital game for both teams and should see the home team record their second win.

Solid win for the Hoes over Kew. Great to see a win for Duck's 200th.

Big Ash kicking 6, on fire.

My man Francis, the bustling Barrel, injured, hopefully gets it right for this week.

Well done to the Hoes on bouncing back and winning well for the Duck's 200th.

St Francis have a very impressive group of midfielders.

2, 5 and 7 are all quality and have good peripheral vision able to hit targets across the ground.

Contrary to some posts, Dimma also is very effective with his ball use.

Richmond v st Francis should be a cracker this week.

Big triple header at KB on Saturday... And of course the GF rematch. Both teams at 2-1. Bit of a rivalry building there perhaps?

Great win by the snakes Warwick! Only 10 or so of the 22 played in last years granny though! Big turn around in numbers, the lack of mental scars would help for the GF rematch!

I've found a few spots in Paris for you to pop the question in a few months, will fill you in in 3 weeks when i'm back!

Pop it dude. Pop it. Just don't move to the suburbs and transfer to point cook or lilydale.

Win v RC, loss to AOC, draw to PH. Hard to read old elsternwick. Top 5 side?

Rnd 3 power rankings

1. YV by 10 goals on everyone else.
2. Ivanhoe, on strength of schedule.
3. UHSVU
4. Kew
5. SFX
6. AOC
7. AP
8. Elsternwick, could be higher?
9. OW
10. PH
11. HAFC

RC, somewhere between 2 and 11.

Check out the new VAFA website... very flash...

R3 tips:

UHS over AP
YV over Elsternwick
RC over SFX
Ivanhoe over Hawks
Kew over Powerhouse
OW over Aquinas

My tips for Round 4 are:

UHS over Albert Park by 15 points. Uni High are coming off a loss and these teams aren't too far apart. Home ground advantage.

Yarra Valley over Elsternwick by 38 points. Elsternwick to make a game of it for a half but will be outclassed in the end.

SFX over richmond by 10 points. St Francis were impressive last week, they are mobile and have good foot skills for this level. Richmond must have been impressive too. Going with who I've seen in a toss of the coin.

Ivanhoe over Hawthorn by 40 points. Hawthorn's pride will have been stung after last week and they will be much tougher to beat at home. Tremewen and lauletta if he plays will need big games but the Hoes should be a cut above.

Kew over Powerhouse by 26 points. The House love a scrap but Kew doesn't mind one either. Kew comfortably at home.

Aquinas over Old Westbourne by 30. Haven't seen either but Aquinas's form line is better.

UHS over AP - by 3 points. AP could have had a few wins by now, expect one is very close. But the students have been ok thus far and will get the points - just.

YV over Elsternwick - by 48 points - hopefully someone smacks .....actually no I won't say that :)

SFX to beat RC..... by a bit me thinks. SFX will be top 4 for mind and get this one by 30 points.

Ivanhoe over Hawks...... by 24 points. looking forward to seeing some 'old mates' at the Hawks club;)

Kew over Powerhouse - thought Kew were alot better than the end result last week. The big no.3 to kick 8 for Kew. The brown and gold by 45 points.

Aquinas to beat OW by 15 points ....just think the old boys have a bit more form.

Good luck everyone.

Chump.
