Seriously SFX. Get some hot water in ya showers.
I had a shower Thursday after training and they where fine. Not sure what happend yesterday but I will make sure its fixed. Maintenance is done by the school so we have trouble sometimes.
Thanks to all the from powerhouse for sticking around for a beer much appreciated

Elsternwick flying under the radar, I hope. They have some quality recruits, including a giant in the ruck. RC got back in the game at 3 qtr time, but the damage was done in the second quarter. They are a quality outfit, and have established themselves as the pants wielding replacements to Yarra Valley. It looks sharp. Wish I could convince the Snakes to wear anything other than pastel chinos!

So... Ladder...

Kew
UHS
Aquinas
SFX
Elsternwick
South Mornington
Swinburne
Richmond
Power house
LaTrobe
Albert Park
Old Westbourne

I have a feeling Kew will be up there most of the year... I had heard that OW had recruited well, but they got smacked in both games...

Kew... are you wearing the pants this year?

Bigwaz, I reckon wait until after rounds 3 and 4 to judge Kew.Came up against an average looking unit on the weekend and based on the praccy match I dont think Swinburne will be much better.

Round 2:
Aquinas to smash OW, Williams to kick 10+
UHS to easily account for Powerhouse
Albert Park by less than a kick against SM
Elsternwick by a few goals against La Trobe in the match of the round
Centrals to get a big win away from home against SFX
Kew to pump Swinburne

What game you at Richo average looking unit 10 minutes into the third OW 30 points down. Obviuosly run out of puff might have something to do with not being able to train anywhere ATM. Kew are quick and clean very similar looking team to UHS last year. When the last time Kew lost at home give us a spell Richo your sacking teams after a week.

Fair call Ramjets. Don't think Kew have lost at home in a while. If they were only 30 points down in the 3rd thats a fair effort considering the depth Kew have this year

Kew seemed fit and full of depth, particularly with a 19s side this year. Played with about 28 players in their praccy match against us but as we all know, practice matches don't mean much.
See how they go against Swinburne this week, but they look good.

Richo I have had enough of you, ya just a big Muppet! You need a big lid

Missed out on a couple last week, but then there were a couple of mild surprises, so for tomorrow,

Aquinas vs Old Westbourne
UHS-VU vs Power House
South Mornington vs Albert Park
Elsternwick vs La Trobe Uni
St Francis vs Richmond
Swinbourne Uni vs Kew

5 out of 6 games yesterday 10 goal+ blow outs. Is this indicative of the difference in standard from top to bottom of D3 or just one of those days?

Yes. No one tipped Swinburne after losing to the tigers the week before. A big win for them against Kew.
Then the tigers get smashed by Albert park...Who lost big the week before? Good win for the snakes yesterday, we'd never beaten SFX before.

I reckon that the grounds were hardish in round one and that many sides had blokes missing for the round 2 encounters and that maybe why the formlines are a bit hard to read.......exposed form to become apparent by the completion of round 4 me thinks.....

it looks like it could being a long year for the boys from latrobe uni. could they be in for a double drop back to D4 undoing the hard work of a few years ago with back to back premierships

So...Ladder:

UHS
Aquinas
Elsternwick
Kew
Richmond Central
Albert Park
Swinburne
South Mornington
SFX
La Trobe
Power house
Old Westbourne

Aquinas v SFX
Elsternwick v OW
RC v AP
LT v SM
Swin v PH
Kew v UHS - Match of the round for sure... This game will tell us a lot about where everyone stands at present. Should be a close game as well.

So... all the home sides to win?

I think UHS will get up. Kirk is kicking baggggggs.

My Round 3 Tips:
Aquinas to beat SFX comfortably
Elsternwick easily against OW
Centrals in a close one against Albert Park
La Trobe to notch up first win against SM
Swinburne to continue there good form against Powerhouse
UHS by a few goals against Kew

Only been tracking at fifty percent the first two weeks so need to lift my game:

Aquinas vs St Francis Xavier
Elsternwick vs Old Westbourne
Richmond vs Albert Park
La Trobe Uni vs South Mornington
Swinburne Uni vs Power House
Kew vs UHS-VU

Oh, all the home teams - this will be interesting !

Wind was a shocker in Kew aswell. Most results went as predicted. Some big games next week with uhs-vu v elsternwick, la trobe v centrals and kew v aquinas
