Perhaps the VAFA needed to redo the draw and put some split rounds in to lessen the impact of multiple weeks off. NB, RC ESL have all missed 3 weeks in a row. Scheduling issues for 2020 will be most intriguing as they look to balance D2 with 10 teams, D3 to 10, which then means perhaps St Johns, Swinburne and one other re enter D4 ?

Emmaus
Richmond
Aquinas
Thoughts are with everyone at Aquinas after the tragic loss of one of their young blokes earlier in the week. Hopefully they can get the win in what I’m sure is a very tough week.

They don't care.

They probably shouldn't have voted to have two byes a week at the start of the season then.

Oh like they had a choice then?

Yes they did. As documented earlier in this thread, three clubs (Aquinas, Canterbury, Westbourne voted to redo the fixture and all of the others voted for the two weekly byes). So please spare us the sympathy for Manningham, Richmond, North Brunswick, Emmaus or Parkside. They (and only they) are responsible for this fiasco of a season.

Hey HBB good to hear from you.
They not only voted to have these byes they got reduced fees on the back of the submissions put in by the same three clubs you mention.
I bet they didn't offer those clubs their rebate.

Can any team challenge Aquinas or Manningham, has the Grand Final game already been decided?
I think if ESL get within 4 goals at Koonung this week then they'd be a chance at a neutral venue in finals.
We've seen enough straight sets exits (think Hawthorn on multiple occasions) to know that one bad day is enough.

Would’ve thought Westbourne seeing they knocked off Aquinas....thank you next.

Checked the Warriors fixture they play the 2 cobra teams in the last 2 games. Word on the street is they have employed Mr Miyagi to beat the Cobra Kai with a sweet kick to the face.

Manningham at westbourne next week how juicy.... good time to hide in their snake hole I would have thought!

Manningham have decided to forfeit the rest of this season as they feel that they are not getting the competition that they deserve.....instead they will just play intra club matches until grand final day where they will attend to collect their trophy and player medallions.
They have agreed to stay an extra 5 minutes to sign autographs and take photos with supporters.
