Anyone else watch the VAFA podcast today?
1 vs 2 in Div. 3.
Weather conditions considered and results also deem it will be a long season for some clubs.

I didnt watch the game but have seen Parkside in person and they loked sharp..

Whats happening down the Western Highway with Westbourne? They are struggleing and reserves have forfeited the last 2!?!

Was pretty ordinary weather conditions Saturday so that’s probably the reason that the standard of footy looked so bad in the live stream between two of the top sides in D3.
Skimmed through the game Sunday.
Commentators made a few remarks about the wind going away from the club room side, which would make sense with the scoring. Looked like it had a bit of cross-field action to it as the ball was trapped on the Sportscover side of the ground for the majority of the game. Cobras had a big win this week so could be feeling good going into the game against wicks at home.

Good win by the Citz's. Didn't make the trek out west, but looking at the names clearly best team they've had in so far.
Players used after 6 rounds:
Richmond 37
South Melb 32
Parkside 35
Emmaus 30
Westbourne 36
Hawthorn 44
Canterbury 29
Elsternwick 30
North Brunswick 37
No coincidence that the current four best sides have had the lowest turnover of players.

Hawks will certainly welcome a few back over the next few weeks. The Wild west has been ravaged by Covid and this was evident by quite a number of two's players who hadn't pulled on the boots for over 10 years.

Certainly agree that once the Hawks get rolling they will start to meet the early season expectations most in this forum had for them pencilled in for.
