All in fun Eley Park to beat North Brunswick in the granny. That is if there is a D4 next year; you never know we might be heading back to multiple regionalised D grades

not this again. its pops up every yr. once again if we want clubs to leave the vafa then go for it. there would be way too many lop sided matches clubs would go backwards before forward if ever.

if its not broken dont fix it. there is already talk a couple of clubs want to come across to the vafa & i hardly think they would want to come across if it all changed

What clubs are you talking about?
I have heard Parkdale may be defecting to the SFL which would mean West Brunswick would probably stay in D3.

Worst football side ive ever seen without a doubt... Played them in a practice match this year won by over 300 points...

Well maybe not having to pay anyone could be the best thing for them. The very last thing you want is clubs to fold now the vafa may not be the answer long term but it might help them get through the next phase they need to. But as i say this it was posted on a forum & we know how true everything on big footy is

Lets flog that dead horse. Who owes me a beer?? :)

In last night's brownlow, there were 11 games for the season that the losing team got the 3 votes. Highest margin was 57 points, lowest 2 with average of 17.

Lets compare that to the 4 games Cisco recieved 3 votes at an average losing margin of 124 (? memory) points. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but Cisco played mostly off half back?

If anything, Tugger, I hope that you can pass on this heated (IFF)discussion to the D4 umpiring fraternity so a more reasonable result can be obtained in the future. Don't hand out pity votes - it would do the competition far more justice.

Coming your way fella!

The argument stands true. It's a cold day in hell when the best player on the ground plays on a side that loses by 130+ points.

Just had a look at the D4 votes from 2006. Ricmond received 21 votes as a club ... Cisco almost got that himself this season.

Note that RC also had zero wins that year.

Rumour has it that Mt Lilydale have picked up a couple of quality players from Sth Croydon. The King brother's, is this true? If so well done to them as they are good players.

So on that basis then, EFL Div 4 is the same Ammo Div 1. Give me a spell.

Never drew that conclusion at all. If you read the post you will see that I have simply suggested that as VAFA D4 is in fact 7th division you would logically think that EFL Div 4 would be stronger. Have never played in either so just an educated guess really. So what’s you take then?
