My Tips
Westbourne by 180
Nth Brunny 35
West Brunny 20
Hawthorn by 20
Point Cook x 20

I reckon the Hawthorn Canterbury game will be most interesting. Will get to see if Canterbury are in the mix with the top 2.

Westbourne by 60
North Brunny by 20
Manningham by 50
Hawthorn by 30
Point Cook by 20

Manningham to surprise as the year goes on.

Manningham by 50 is a huge call, wont happen.

Also chaddy at $101 for the flag is a bit generous

Westborne G - 72 pts
North Bruns - 12 pts
West Bruns - 70 pts
Hawth - 25 pts
Point Cook - 33pts

Cream starting to rise - Hawks, WB, OWB - Box Hill North the surprise, Manningham disappointing - depth problems with only 2 scoring shots in the twos? Canterbury reality check. Chadstone definitely improving.

Who is the 3rd best side??

Premature question, but perhaps can be answered by the first team to come within 7 goals of Hawthorn or WB?! Manningham (Snrs) and BHN the obvious improvers...

Depth will play a big part come mid-year with alot off to the World Cup...

Very early to be making any claims. Hawthorn, fresh air, WB and then Westbourne, Manningham, BHN and Canterbury for mine. But I think this week will maybe start to give some more clarity.

Rnd 4 has some Crackers:

Canterbury v Point Cook (Genuine 8 Point Game)
Box Hill N v North Brunswick - Both Need a win
Westbourne v WB (Genuine 8 point game)
Dragons v Manningham - Both Need a win

Would suggest hawthorn's 1's are leaders based on current results but with west brunswick's reserves seeming an absolute force it could bolster the ones significantly.

West Brusnwick seem to have massive depth with their ressies only having 14 points scored against them and 30 odd blokes missing out on a game each week. This will be vital come June/July.
WB v Hawthorn game on May 31 will be massive.
I'm tipping WB to go top, Hawks then Westbourne.
Good to see Manningham, Box Hill and Chaddy all improving.

Point Cook by 21 pts
Box Hill by 30 pts
Hawthorn by 100 pts
Manningham by 50 pts
West Brunswick by 50 pts

Results for me suggest that maybe 3-4 distinct divisions appearing:

Hawks - Class of their own

WB - Definitely beatable, Warriors in front at 3/4 time
WG/Cant/MC/BHN - Will need to win those that expected to and take chances against other mid table rivals.

NB/PC/Dragons/Chad - will need to string some wins together shortly

First time long time here! From what I have seen this season thus far.....

West Brunswick/Hawthorn

Canterbury
Westbourne
Manningham
Box Hill

Point Cook
North Brunswick

Chadstone
Dragons

Who are the best players in the comp? Hawks have stars, West Brunny are very well rounded and have MASSIVE depth.
Chadstone and Dragons will fight it out for the spoon at this stage. Yap could get the boys going or he could disappear again like last season when the going gets tough...

Agree that WB & Hawks look to be the best, by the looks of the results so far it would be a massive upset if anyone else knocks either of these two teams off.
I would split the groups up like this.

Hawks
WB

Cant
WG
BHN

Mann
NB
PC

Drag
Chad

Wouldn't be surprised if Chaddy gets a win or two this year looks to be heading in the right direction.

any word on finals?
final 4,5 or 6?

could be an interesting fight for finals spots between the middle tear teams

Surely this would be a final 5 once again. Give the team that finishes top an advantage or disadvantage which ever way you want to look at it.

Anyone have news on
Point Cook, Ramsden getting on the park?
Hawthorn, Big trewman playing all year?
Chadstone, Still seem to be recruiting? improvements?
West Brunswick, guys missing on games getting over it yet?

Where is Ruck Machine?? Wise Wise man

Ramsden playing most weeks in the Colts

Why would d4 have anything other than a top 4? 10 teams this year not 11 or 12.
Its hard, especially because 6th won it last season, even though it wont happen again most likely, i reckon theres 5 decent teams with hawthorn and WB obviously being a class above the rest
