Why would d4 have anything other than a top 4? 10 teams this year not 11 or 12.

Fair call Waz, The system of 4 worked for you boys back in 2011. Personally playing against the Blues last year I believe the depth they had that come back into the team is what won the flag. Unfortunately they didn't play all their cards for everyone to see until the whips got cracking. Potentially Cantebury could pull something similar? Smashed by Hawthorn early on(off memory and memory alone, I think the same thing happened with Northern Blues?). Lets see what happens around finals time...

Tips this week
Manningham - 5 goals
West Brunswick - 30 goals if they can kick straight for once
Westbourne - 6 goals
Hawthorn - 30 goals non event
Canterbury - who knows (Chadstone to hopefully blow out the cobwebs)

I have had confirmation from the VAFA that we will have a top 4 this year.

Looks like some rain on the way (pardon this pun), as such will reign in the margins:

North Brunswick v Hawthorn (82points)
Canterbury v Chadstone (49 points)
Box Hill North v Westbourne (9 Points)
West Brunswick v Dragons (65 points)
Point Cook v Manningham (4 Points)

What a win by Box hill
would have to be viewed as potential finalists now.

the 3 - 6 mark could be getting very tight with WG, Canterbury, BHN and manningham fighting for a spot, Point cook not to far away either

West Brunswick v Canterbury the pick of the games this week.

Westbourne if beat North Brunswick will close 7-10 out of it! North Brunswick kept the Hawks to 3 or 4 goals at 3/4 time so will have some confidence.

Allard park is average at the best of times.

After last weeks weather can only imagine it was in less than suitable condition which would bring the result closer.

Allard Park was like playing on a ground which was all cricket wicket. I doubt it will recover either. The whole ground is mud.

Canterbury, Box Hill, Manningham and Westbourne..... Only 2 will make the finals.
Goodnight everyone bellow these 4.

Fantastic win by Box Hill. Was away this weekend. Anyone care to shed light on the game?

Hawthorn obviously asleep playing against North Brunswick.

Seems some players keep popping up in the best on a regular basis. Keep eyes on these boys!

Nice photo of one of your blokes elbowing in the face. Well done. Was this taken at the start of the 2's game before the rain?
First quarter after 15 hours rain. This next one was taken an hour later in the 3rd quarter just before the rain actually stopped for the day which shows the muddiest part of the ground (the centre)!

I will admit there was ALOT of surface water and it was soft under foot (why wouldn't it be after a 16 hour drenching) but the ground condition was in nowhere near as bad a condition as you say. Unfortunately, the Moreland Council haven't heard about drought resistant grass yet but we're forever hopeful they do!

As for the elbow, not much in it but MRP may have given him a week or two! Nothing malicious in it.

Haha well said. Hopefully this sun dries it out a bit for you guys.
What condition are other grounds in? Rathmines has dried out well.
Dragons is the best surface I've played on in a few years.

Definitely not the worst conditions ever seen, had visions of a whole paddock of mud.

In regard to Elbow, The Big Footy D4 MRP reports the following:

the incident was assessed as unintentional contact (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a level one offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. If has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 93.75 points and a no games missed but carry over points.

Great Photo

Well it's that time of the week again...

weather looks to be good for the weekend. Hopefully some big scores and Clean footy!

Manningham by 77
Box hill by 60
West Brunswick by 66

Doesn't look to be any crunch games this week, will be interesting to see how canterbury go again West Brunswick though

Chadstone v Manningham (43 points)
Dragons v Box Hill North (123 points)
West Brunswick v Canterbury (28 points)
Hawthorn v Point Cook (153 points)

Based on ladder West B (2) v Canterbury (3) is a big game, if West B win will divide ladder clearly into 3, if Canterbury win, 2-6 wide open.
