Dockers: Your Opinions on Cuddles?

Hey Dockers.

Hopefully I don't end up flamed like I usually do here

Just a question - with all this hype about Chris' possible sacking/resignment, one thing stands in my mind.

Do you guys actually want him sacked or do you want to keep him?

I personally think he has done an excellent job turning you guys around given your list (aging - DONT FLAME ME FOR THIS ) and remember you made the finals twice.

I think it might be something of a George Bush effect (if you guys want him sacked) - non Americans find no problem with him and laugh at the silly things he does but Americans hate him and want him assassinated blah blah blah.

It was worth coming out of retirement for. I actually broke my silence yesterday to call Ashley Sampi fat...gotta warm up. Might have pulled a hammy if I came back too hard too fast.

His lack of coaching ability showed BUT he didnt have the players to help .Also having many suspended and off field problems with some didnt help him as well .
The Freo problems go back many yrs and they didnt want players like Andrew Mcleod .etc etc etc .Go work it out .
Does the football commission in WA have Freo in their hearts ...NO .

We made the finals twice in 6 years and only once did we win a final. In 6 years most coaches would get sacked for that, unless your name is Pagan or you coach Richmond.

The Weagles turned on Judge after 2 poor seasons when he did actually get you guys some quality players. But then again, the Weagles have alot more fickle supporters

CC was dealt a harsh card and while i didn't totally like his methods sometimes but fair enough the guy was a ripper bloke (Remember meeting him at Eftel oval and having a chat and while i would have loved him to face the music till the end of the season it was never gonna happen with the lions and the saints winning on the weekend but my last thoughts on the CC debacle are that he was ****ed over by a group of egotistical senior players

I admire CC. Nice bloke that tried his hardest and bled purple for the club. Great rep for the club, but ultimately couldnt cut it where it mattered. I sincerely hope him and his family all the best for the future.

Dead set. I have spoken to Chris many times through my involment with junior footy, which CC supported so well, Always impressed me and struck me as a very astute bloke who has been character assinated. He was great for the Freo footy club and I for one am very dissapointed that this has happened.

I'd have to agree with that. Dubya popular around the world indeed. You can't buy comedy like that - at least I hope it was a joke. Otherwise you may want to brush up on your political knowledge Matera_goal.

Look I appreciate everything CC has done for us but hopefully we're aiming a little higher than to be better than the two worst teams in the AFL.

I feel sad for Chris, he did a great job when he first came over. We were broke he promoted the club and promoted the games, attendances grew as did membership. But once the club was in the black it became a simple job - win footy games.
Cuddles is as good as any other AFL coach with his initial match ups but his problem is he has no plan B when things go wrong. I hope he gets a new coaching job and does well. Coaching a Melbourne based club is easier.
