People were being snippy as * about Roarke, he's never going to be our best but he's a footsoldier that plays within his limits and is probably our best option on a wing thanks to his ability to be the extra man in defence.
It's almost like the mc know what they are doing.

Marra, Darcy & Richards to get some finals experience.
We've been unconvincing in recent games and against the Hawks we were just 'ok'

Man Darcy looks like he's got a good pair of hands on him
He lost half a year of development this year to a foot injury. Guys his height don't debut so early after a full year, he's ridiculous.
Still raw as hell but my god what signs.

He’s the best prospect we’ve had since god knows when, obviously Bont & Naughty we’re superstars from the start but geez this guy is so raw. Could see it from his first VFL game how good he was going to be, after not really knowing too much about his juniors.

This guy will be one of the best players in the comp hands down, alright maybe I’m open to him going forward 😂

Expected Score
WB: 109
HW: 59

Thats what it felt like it should be. All over them but just couldn't put it on the scoreboard.

Played our best footy when we were into the wind and struggled to take advantage.

The club needs to seriously think about how quickly he’ll be ready for full time mid/ruck minutes. Big influence on our list management.

What did he do to impress you NW?
What can he offer right now that can't be more than offset by another player coming in?

Genuine questions.
I thought he looked better around the ground, hands a bit stickier, was versatile going back in D for a bit. I'm not sure that he is the choice to go out. Schache is almost demanding inclusion...who'da thunk it. Our problems are the smalls at the moment IMO. Weightman is below par for one.

I'm thinking Cordy out, Naughts back, Schache in, Bruce stays, Weightman out McLean in and JJ in somewhere. I think we're close to the right combination. Darcy up forward kicking a couple was a massive bonus and suddenly adds another dimension and flexibility.

Other thing I've noticed over the last couple of weeks is that a week off can't come soon enough for Macrae. He's lost his touch, awareness, evasiveness.

Now is a good time to celebrate his great potential but Darcy's progression won't be linear (wouldn't it be amazing if it was!)

Once he becomes a serious threat opposition sides will put a lot more work into him, especially if we leave him forward. For a bloke with a lean frame at age 19 that's not going to be easy to shrug off.

Any chance of a RS nomination this week? In a way I'm hoping not because he'd be a monty in 2023. (Although I still reckon it's a dodgy award)

You can get nominated twice. As long as you're under 21 and have less than 10 games, you'll be eligible.

He's a chance. Usually at the end of the year (unless someone really knocks the door down with an incredible performance), they will find a way to give it to someone who performed well all year but hadn't got a nom yet.

Hunter’s run was really important and Roarke excellent. Had good impacts on the wings. Shout out to Dunks and Adz too. Dunkley going would (will) be a big blow.

Darcy in that 5 mins was something I’ve never seen before as a dogs supporter. Could literally be anything. Looking forward really don’t see the point of Lobb unless Bruce is pushed out of the 22.

Thank **** for that.
