The Doggies have always been my second team - congrats on a fantastic victory! I can’t wish you well for next week but I hope you make the eight - my dream GF match-up would be Cats v Dogs. Wouldn’t that be something?

With respect I don’t think we’d like to match up against the cats with our existing finals record against you 😂

With our #1 ruckman out, I regard next week as a danger game. That young bloke you’ve got up front goes ok - if you can get it down there quickly and enough times it’ll be game on. Should be a cracker!

First off so great beating that piss stain of a club. After the two expansion teams and North they have the worst supporter base in the league, non existent.

Great getting a meaningful win under our belts, especially when it looked like we would get Melbourned again. They are fine players but why do Harmes, Neal-Bullen, Sparrow, Petty, any Demons 16-22 player, play like All Australians every time we play them?

Will have more thoughts tomorrow, very happy for English to impose himself around the ground, has Gawn covered and really any other ruck in the comp in that area. I don’t trust him at the centre bounce though but he was huge tonight.

Also Bont and Marra were so special.

Haha, found it amusing when Beveridge praised McComb in his presser

66% of his possessions were contested and he went at 100% efficiency, probably the best substitution ever and turned the game :fireemoji:

If you want to be a cheer-leader there are other forums to join. This is a broad church. Stop tying to dictate whose opinion is worthy.
Perhaps you could explain the value in yet another round of posts banging on about McComb, Gardner and Bevo. It becomes relentless. And when we become so sick of it that something is said, we are told to clear off. By a mod. It seems like its all good for ‘free speech’ - provided you bag the whipping boys.

I want that Bailey Dale spoil played at every major event in my life.

My favourite moment was Sunny Garcia putting us in the lead with his second goal, 4 minutes remaining.

To get the ball 40 out, running full pace from the boundary and threading the needle to put us in the front against the best side in the comp was spine tingling. Talk about ‘ice in the veins’.

I like this chap Garcia. I am claiming him. Garcia is now Brisdog’s and I do not care if earlier claims have been made.

The great thing is, the Bulldogs are only getting stronger with the talent we have to come in like Darcy, whereas Melbourne are getting weaker losing players like Brayshaw and possibly Jackson.

Also loved the Bont’s determination, at one point the bench was yelling at him to come off for a rest and he just ignored them. Give me Bont every time not Petracca who was quiet last night.

Ed Richards has had a outstanding year

I don't think there's a place for Hunter in this side moving forward. He is monopedal and his disposal is too laboured and predictable. I also think he contributes to a left wing dominance that makes us a little easier to read against the better teams.

Williams on the right wing with a little bit of speed and thrust from natural righties Treloar, Dale and Smith (who roams both) gives a more balanced look and attacking options on both sides.

We have also become a little more ambipedal across the team (how I prayed for the day). Pretty sure I saw Khamis kick off both and I'm not sure which is his dominant. The ambipedals now include Bont, Libba, Macrae, Smith, Daniel, Khamis and at times Treloar and possibly Richards & Naughts. Maybe even Gardner is as well. Good for the team.

Good win, thought we would overrun them and we did.

Having the future in West, Garcia, JUH and Khamis playing instead of midLe aged vfl players is making a difference.

Great to se Ed playing so well in his best position after being mismanaged for 3 years.

Gardner needs to keep going for his marks, when he does he is a better player. Still worried too many of his spoils results in scores but his marking is improving. I think he has been poorly coached with our offensive defensive structure and the directive for him punch, punch, punch. He is improving.

English was good and Bont was Bont.

we need to stick with the kids. JUH will be a star and has the footy smarts and forward instincts a lot miss. Often he is open and players just bomb it to Naughts. Finally we are tsrgeting him and lowering our eyes.

we still have major issues on how our midfield set up at the centre bounce. When Bruce was in the ruck we gave Oliver and Trac too much space and it hurt us. It was so obvious they would get a clean clearance. Against Dees we need to lock it down.

the reality is Bruce is a liability at present and Darcy, Schache and Sweet are all better options.

great win snd anything is possible

The team really deserves a lot of credit tonight.

Everyone - including me - thought we were going to get smacked halfway through the second quarte.

To hang in there like we did and keep coming at them showed tremendous character.

Several players deserve plaudits.

Treloar - thought he was sensational before being subbed off. Is he ok?

Jamarra - obviously. Not just the winner (I almost put a hole in my roof) but presented well, marked well, competed hard, and nailed several clutch goals.

Bonti - Willed us over the line.

Smith - huge last quarter

Macrae - Quiet early but absolutely pivotal second half

Libba - Just had so many crucial little moments. When the game is on the line, he really stands up for us.

Dale - aside from that last kick that went along the turf he was brilliant

Garcia - best game for the club, and his composure for the goal that put us in front was fantastic

JJ - overall he was shocking, but at least had some very important moments in the last

English - crucial in getting us back into it. He was up against the two best ruckmen in the league and he was crucial

Theyre the main ones, there are probably others, too pumped to think straight
Richards
