I think Bevo is a great coach and tactician but his team selection can seriously get stuffed.
Hannan had 6 disposals, 4 of which were clangers and 3 that led to turnovers.
Everyone and their mother can see he is not better than West. Just like we knew Gowers shouldn't have been constantly getting games instead of Weightman. Just like we saw that Lewis Young should have at least got a look in whilst Gardner and Cordy were continually spudding it up.

One of our biggest issues is disposal by foot especially to our forwards
We don’t even give them a 50 50 chance we don’t kick it to their advantage.
I would hate to be a forward in our side.

Let's be honest here. This is and for a number of years has been a team that lacks the drive and skill set to knuckle and down and stay in the game when it starts to slip away from them. Once Max inevitably decided enough was enough and took control of the game. What did we do? We continued on with our determined strategy of proving to all the football world the very definition of insanity by sticking with the one paced centre combo of English, The Bont, Macrae and Libba. It was clear as the view from the top of Mount Everest on a sunny day that Max was spoon feeding his dynamic duo the ball out wide and that none of our centre combo had the speed to go with them. And here we found ourselves once again at purgatory station station going nowhere but with our thumbs wedged tight up our collective arses.
Did Beveridge switch things up and rotate any of Lobb, Bruce or even Darcy into the middle? Nope. Did he bring some counter pace into the middle with Treloar or Smith. Nope and ****ing NOPE! Did he do anything to counter a problem that we knew we were going to run into at some point given how their big 3 in the middle dine out on us every time we play them. NOPE!
It really is tiresome how this side can just drop its bundle whenever there is a momentum swing in a game. However, its not nearly as tiresome as a coach who hasn't addressed this obvious problem over the past three years and just doesn't have any answers when it inevitably happens.
We're front runners who have all of the resilience of an ice cube in the Sahara, but none of its ability to spread.

We have many problems we could be hear all night listing them. But team selection is by far the simplest and easiest to fix.
I dont think Lobb did compete that much to be honest..

What games did Gowers play that Weightman should have? Both played 3 games in Cody Weightmans first year.
Toby Mclean was pretty average as well to be honest
If Lobb isn't leading to the 50 metre arc
If Daniel is continually turning the ball over with dinky kicks
If Macrae is being too cute with his handballs and bullet kicks and look away snaps.
If Jamarra's snaps continually are too high and not penetrating.
If Keath is continually panicking when in traffic
I can go on and on
But the point is making the same mistakes over and over and expecting a different result!
Then have them.practice more.Over and over these scenerios
Even if we are not a great side.At least improvement and trying something different.

Only round 1 and we up against a club who took the preseason seriously to be primed and ready. I mention in the preseason how stupid it was just to play1 game against Kangas. This was Bevo’s idea, he said in Sen that he wanted the players mentally fresh for the opener. Worked well like most of his ideas since 2016. Hopefully club hands the keys over to Lade and Bevo can stick to his strong telling.
Season not over. Team was not mentally ready for round 1 and we will improve, but game plan is still crap, our positioning is still crap, playing pets like Hannan is still a problem and matxh day coaching is still under 10 standard. Team is too talented so I still expect a good year, even with the noose around our neck

Delivery didn’t help our forwards JUH kicked 1.3 shame he didn’t take his chances could have ending up having a good night otherwise.
