Season over. I was actually hopeful tonight that we might have turned a corner last week but that was diabolical.

We just seem so utterly listless & rudderless.
Our incredible defense from last year has vanished. Pearce is a liability, Ryan too cautious & what is the point of all our running defenders when they’re too scared to run or attack the corridor with aggressive kicking.

Our midfield is hopeless, O’Meara is a bust.

Most of all the players seem to have lost their confidence and cohesion. We’re playing frightened & gutless football.

Get O’Meara out for Erasmus. Get NOD back. Most of all get some dare back. Throw the game plan out. Start moving the ball with some speed & courage.

Throw out all our kick in strategy & start again. Get Clark, Walker, Young running the ball. Chains of handball & attack the corridor. Our D50 exits are the worst in the comp.

It’s pathetic. I actually don’t care if we sack JL at this point. We’re close to the worst team in the comp now. Drop Pearce, Ryan. Try something, anything. It’s a joke.

Why not just rest him until he isn't injured? Play someone not injured?

Depends on the injury. Must players will play through injury at some point. A couple of weeks rest may not make much difference for certain injuries and they may think a 80% Brayshaw is better than the alternative.

Omg enough with the Hughes slander. He was very good in the first half but fell off alongside every other player. His two I50 deliveries were beautiful to watch.

No **** him hes useless. He had 10 disposals. 3 of which were turnovers. Played the wing with 160m gained. He had 2 nice i50s so if that's all we can praise him for in an entire game then we are truly ****ed.

Well here is a few positives.


Dockers kicked 10 goals tonight. Most of them were from younger guys aged 25 or under like Sturt, Amiss and Frederick etc.

Sturt kicked 2 goals tonight from leads and set shot goals. He was ravaged by Injuries in the last 2-3 years. Back him to the hilt and let him kick 20-25 goals this year.

If Sturt wasn't injured, he would of at least played 25-30 games and kicked 25-30 goals rotated every 2nd week

So many disappointing performances but we're hamstrung with what we can do to change personnel. Pearce, and Ryan need to be dropped but we aren't dropping our captain and is there a replacement for Ryan? Maybe Hamling.
Wagner needs to go for Wilson which should've happened this week.
Corbett should never had got a game! What are we going to do now? Drop him? Use him as sub again? Or bring him in to the side in place of Amiss? Just dumb selection. He has to be dropped imo, and Erasmus comes in which again, should've happened this week.
Walker is one dumb footballer but is ok at limiting an opposition small forward and we don't have a replacement anyway so we have to persevere with him.
Hughes and Banfield aren't good enough but unless Fyfe and Driz are 95% we don't have options unfortunately.

We desperately need to work out crumbing spilt marking contests and every contest actually. We're not only poorly set up or structured but we're soft and easily dodged around. Adding Raz can only help with this but we need to bloody well train it!!! Clearly doing match sims against ourselves all preseason was a poor idea but pointing that out is being a bit captain hindsight but we should be fixing it now!

While that side of things has been poor, we do have a pretty solid team. It's easy to blame the players but in reality it's the coach who is at fault.

JOM can play a slow forward that no one will defend. He sure as shot should not play midfield. Far too weak in the contest. I’m 5’10, 80kg and I reckon I could push him off the ball. Weak as…..

He also got bullied off the ball easily and I saw him pull out of two standing tackles minimum with his hands in the air like he's scared. All that gym work is clearly for show cause he's about as strong as a wet paper bag.
