Have a look at Micahel Walters heatmap - he goes back to help, but rarely all the way into the D50. Bonts should look like that.

As an aside, if he's spending his time as a 60/40 split he's probably dropping a rotation which means he's on the ground more - that's a good thing as we tend to make the play when he's near the ball. Having Bont and Dunkley in the forward half gives us a huge amount of power around forwardline stoppages which is where we're more likely to score than other teams who have dominant marking forwards.Id like to see him more of a 60F/40D split -- not because he is playing as a forward, but as a mid spending more time forward of the play and drifting forward when we have the ball. He really shouldnt be running deep into defence unless there is an emergency. Idea is to add a goal a game to his output without spending much time forward, except to rest in a pocket like an old fashioned ruckman.
Definitely was accurate when it counted and I love the Bont, but I think his goal kicking for most of last year really let him down and is the only thing stopping him from being in the elite company of Dusty and DangerfieldMore than made up for his inaccuracy in SF and 2015 finals in the those famous last two weeks of 2016.
