The poster wasn't the only one commenting I did too and I did preface it trying not to 'shame' overweight people but not sure how one could describe the situation otherwise.

Shamed? You weren't at the game. How else can one describe what one saw?

At the game I went to, the umpire was barely in position to see any infringement, many went uncalled. These are 15 year old kids learning to play the game and I don't see how an unfit and poorly positioned umpire helps the game.

And BTW for the last 4 years of my son's junior footy I was the team manager, umpire escort and interchange steward, all at the same time. I also had to run the boundary on occasions when we didn't get league-supplied umpires. Most parents by then had lost interest in coming to the games.

I haven’t been in involved with junior footy so I was surprised at the amount of rigmarole and volunteers involved. My brother in law was over for dinner on Sunday and spent a good amount of time submitting an “umpires report” for his kid’s U10 team that he coaches.

thing. I suppose fox is going to reinflate the issue every time he plays the pies, but it seems awfully strange to me that it's still an issue.

The snide comment by Whateley about the pies still paying him is a free hit, but I was still surprised ....although I understand that they hold their fox friends very close to their hearts .....until they dump them.

Just a reminder to Adam and the fox crew, the people associated with the decision to trade him are gone.....there's a lot of footballers who want to remain at clubs but are moved on for a variety of reasons. We dont seem to get an update on their feelings for the post-move period....

It's probably also a reminder to the fans who are still whining about it. The whining signals to the media people that click-bait is still available. I think that happens a lot with collingwood. The whining of pie fans stimulates a lot of content....

Dropped for the second time this season in a team struggling with little depth to bring in for him. Very disappointing. Definitely not the sort of character you want to build a young team with. I wouldn’t be surprised if North try to test the market on moving him on end of season.

i went to the stage of loading up a $125 ticket....but then i pulled out. I've got a lower back that doesn't let me walk more than 400 metres. And that ticket was almost on the wing...so it's a bit disappointing..

but i'll be there in spirit....with my notebook ready to take notes to bag all the players
