thank you for extending the analogy..... so the worker is castrated to make him more docile.....(and if you question the analogy at this point, research about the lowering of sperm count in males)

As someone having to look after two horses that aren't mine, both geldings, I would hate to see how much they would drive me mental if they were stallions, because these two are going to be glue soon if they keep this up. So docile is relative I guess.

dont worry....if they turn out winners, you'll get half the money....

lol...just kidding

My blissful ignorance of horse racing has been cruelly exposed.

Can’t complain, haven’t been gelded.

also blissful, I saw after the race that they interviewed the "strapper". I've heard the term but i googled it and found out that it's the person who cleans the horse's crap out of the cage and feeds it and polishes it....and the woman got interviewed on tv.

so like jesus said, those who are last will be first and those who were first will get even more...

I don’t play cricket.
I don’t watch a lot of cricket.
But when I do I am always told that as a batsman the most important thing to do is move your feet.
Footwork, footwork, footwork.

So, can someone who is a cricket tragic please explain the events of last night/this morning?

No, to be honest it defies explanation.

I guess it further proves that G Maxwell has the most freakishly natural hand eye coordination in our generation.

I would attempt to enlighten you if I still gave a game of cricket the most fleeting of glances and actually knew what you were on about.

I did hear something on the news about an incident in a game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - is that the game to which you are referring? What struck me about the news item is how low Sri Lanka must have have sunk in the world of cricket to allow themselves to be defeated by Bangladesh. Even I know that Bangladesh, along with Afghanistan and perhaps another of that ilk, have never been able to match it with the big players of international cricket.

I gave up watching cricket around the time that an Australian victory was all but assured even before the first ball was bowled, and the West Indies switched from cricket to basketball (or something like that) and subsequently all but dropped out of competition. My mother, who didn't have a racist thought in her head, used to say that the WI team looked like liquorice allsorts in their colourful Kerry Packer gear. In this squeaky clean age, I imagine she would have selected a less inflammatory description of them.

Nah, not the game I was talking about.
Tonight’s news will update you.

I tried my best but lack of knowledge defeated me on this occasion. Will it make the SBS news? I am not watching one of those commercial or woke news services just to gain a titbit of sporting information.
