We deserve assistance but it's clear the AFL doesn't want to encourage full rebuilds so I wouldn't expect a top 10 pick.
The only way they can do that is giving access to Sanders or working out a salary dump with GWS or GC to get us a pick.
We probably have to change the mentality of the club and work ourselves out of this mess with good list management and recruiting rather than relying on AFL assistance to correct it. Consider everything, player and pick trades to get multiple picks and/or players or compensation picks.

Without major assistance from the AFL this off season they may aswell put Tassie in and kick north out in a few years time.. perhaps that’s what they all want. Would explain the meagre assistance to this point

As has been mentioned previously, there is no way knowing the AFL will give us first round priority pick to follow McKay compensation. Imagine the look of it for the AFL if North had pick 2,3, and 4

Shouldn’t ducking matter, but it will.
This league is a joke when you compare it to most other ‘professional’ leagues around the world. It’s embarrassing as an Australian when people ask me about it.

Any request has to be made post season, and the afl commission who decides doesn’t meet until prelim or grand final week. Tom is talking out of his arse.
