What are you basing this on?So Bo Allan at 6?
So just like the reporting said yesterdayLangford or FOS for the Dees at pick 5 (6).
Lalor, Ashcroft, Smith, Draper and Tauru will be picked by then.
Being a smart ass. Because Richmond has been quiet. What are you basing this on?
To be fair, Taylor, Hartley and SOS have been very quiet, meaning that picks 5-11 will be hard to guess until draft night.Being a smart ass. Because Richmond has been quiet.
7 (SOS) Will be the most predictable pick of the night. It will be whoever is left.To be fair, Taylor, Hartley and SOS have been very quiet, meaning that picks 5-11 will be hard to guess until draft night.

It looks exactly like Draper. That doesn’t look like Draper..
No goss. Just reading the tea leaves on this subject.Got any other goss for us FTB?
Yeah who knows how the tigers have ranked them. They have been really open in the past in ranking players and putting them on a list and then just ticking them off when they get picked. Blair was again open about this when talking about whether they bid for Ashcroft.7 (SOS) Will be the most predictable pick of the night. It will be whoever is left.
Unless FOS or Jagga get to 6. I reckon Hartley is locked into Smillie over Langford.
Adelaide and North could agree aNorth should just take that offer. Why look a gift horse in the mouth? They'll stay ahead of Melbourne and still be able to get Tauru.
Re Smillie at 6 talk.Yeah who knows how the tigers have ranked them. They have been really open in the past in ranking players and putting them on a list and then just ticking them off when they get picked. Blair was again open about this when talking about whether they bid for Ashcroft.
How they have ranked the first six in the open draft has been kept quiet. Personally I think the Smillie talk comes through lazy journalism in the fact there are six top mids and the other clubs seem to prefer 5 higher than Smillie, leaving Richmond as the default. Couple that with Hartley having some affiliation with Smillies junior club and it’s a jackpot for locking him in at 6.
I can see how people have bought into the Smillie being a lock at 6 narrative though.
Personally I’m enjoying the club being a vault, for once.
2 3rd rnd picks in most cases is likley to be more points than 1 second round pick. unless it ends up being pick 20 compared to pick 53 & 54 or something. Assuming all picks are in the middle somewhere, someone chasing points is still better off.Not with the changes to the points table.
Could you offer your 2025r1,r2 for 19, Sydney's 2025r1It says we’re eyeing the future second so I guess if Adelaide can turn those F3’s into a mid F2 we’ll snap it up and then work on packaging our F2’s into this draft. 4 will probably still get FOS or Draper. Or Tauru if we’ve fallen that way. Get some mid to later talls in.
I might be wrong here, but don't North need to hold at least one F2 or F1 pick?Hawthorn future second wouldn’t be enticing to North surely!!
Could you offer your 2025r1,r2 for 19, Sydney's 2025r1
( assume you finish 12th, Sydney 5th) that is
7,25 for 19,14. A good deal longer term for Sydney. Maybe a similar deal for 21,GWSr1 could be suggested as well.
I think more likely GWS do that, unless GWS is doing the 13,29 for 16,21 swap.

I don’t disagree regarding both being great options.Re Smillie at 6 talk.
People far too often think this is a red herring. In most cases we want to believe what isn’t obvious because it doesn’t meet the canon in our minds - I.e Langford is better we should select him.
I think if FOS got to 6. You would take him.
But if it’s Langford or Smillie. Swinging for the fences on Smillie is not only the most logical for where you’re at with your list. But the fact it’s the player with the highest upside besides Tauru in this draft. Who doesn’t have the limitations physically that Langford may have.
Either way I don’t think you lose. I just don’t believe it’s a massive secret for you at 1 and 6 right now.
10, 11 etc yeah that could throw a surprise or two up.
Well not quite.I don’t disagree regarding both being great options.
But the days of picking one player over the other because of junior club affiliation is long gone and the only minor advantage this may give us is an extra insight into the players character whether that’s positive or negative.
They will pick the best player they see for the long term based on current talent and expected realisation of potential.
How they rank Langford vs Smillie vs FOS will only be known by a small handful of people at the club.
Everyone else is just guessing.
In regards to Twomey, yes he does.Well not quite.
I don’t think you are going to draft Smillie because he shares a junior club with Hartley. But when your splitting hairs with the top 7 prospects the fact that Hartley has that intimate knowledge probably pushes him past other prospects at 6.
As far as everyone else is just guessing… Twomey proves every year that as long as a pandemic isn’t running wild he slam dunks the top 7.
Yes, if all else is equal and there’s something that pushes him forward or back in the way they rank him by Hartleys association with the club then by all means. But who is to know his inside knowledge isn’t negative? You assume it’s positive.Well not quite.

So you are saying he’s locked in Smillie at our second pick? I haven’t seen his phantom. Can you show me?
You are trying to counter every journo in the past week linking you to Smillie at 6 with - they are assumptions they are not based on knowledgeYes, if all else is equal and there’s something that pushes him forward or back in the way they rank him by Hartleys association with the club then by all means. You'd be able to get two of Armstrong, Shanahan, Whitlock and Faull at 10 and 18.Im hoping it all depends on the player available. The only reason we would be doing this is to get a solid KPP (preferably forward in my view) a year early. If the guy we want is off the board we may as well hold onto our F1

Na, you can keep both of them. And im sure north would do F1 and f2 for 10 and 18
