And if what I posted above is correct.I don't know what we are thinking, but I know what we have done every time in the past. We have always gone best available, even when I've thought it against our interests to. This year we seem willing to drop two or three spots, but not four or five. To me that suggests we think we will get the same or a similar quality player at 5 as at 2, but not at 6 or 7. It doesn't suggest we are targeting Tauru, because we could drop down further and take him there. I would much rather we took Tauru at 4 than take a mid there, because it means we are less likely to do something stupid with our F1. I just don't think that is the plan.
He won’t be there at 6/7/8/9 etc
So sliding down to 4 makes complete sense.
I know everyone including myself is in love with these mids and we all think they are the piece that elevates our clubs.
But it’s likely, North, Melbourne, Richmond and Stkilda are all taking BPA - which could very well be Tauru for any of our clubs. Especially with how he performed in the run home to the year playing both key back and key forward.
