Saints still get two guns with their picks. Don’t think they’ll be having sleepless nights just cause they beat us

We ended up using that pick 45 for McRae..That's a strange one. How did that work for either club? I suppose you guys just preferred the extra pick, but wouldn't that have been a point loss for them?
Freo will be grabbing Gerreyn with their second so you guys are wasting your time hoping to get him.
Someone is going to take him earlier than expected. Why in the world would freo want to so that?
Your draft hand is the envy of most of the comp. Second best behind Richmond. I also think you'll trade 32 and 47 for 27.
The Hopper delisting would be pretty expensive. 7 year deal at $800k + (allegedly) . Maybe his new nickname could be "regional commonwealth games"nah
Lalor will play mid/fwd
Smillie mid/fwd/hb
Taranto mid/fwd
Hopper delisted
It's footy fan Christmas! We only get two presents today but they're (hopefully) going to be beauties.Happy draft day to all on Big Footy!!!
You only get one today. It's footy fan Christmas! We only get two presents today but they're (hopefully) going to be beauties.
Tigers won't bid as agreed with its trade, North won't bid as they want their guy to be pick 2, not pick 3. Blues also I think want to have pick 3, not 4 but probably don't bid as it might encourage Brisbane to bid on a camporelea later on.It's depend where they go, but I didn't think they had enough if Ashcroft goes top 3 and Marshall late first round? Which is where they should go.
Can’t see Carlton bidding.Tigers won't bid as agreed with its trade, North won't bid as they want their guy to be pick 2, not pick 3. Blues also I think want to have pick 3, not 4 but probably don't bid as it might encourage Brisbane to bid on a camporelea later on.
You're right. Didn't know what deals had been done. Lions are closer to points needed than u thought as well. They will probably trade 27 for F2 and points would be my guess. Can they receive 27 back in trade though if they previously traded it to Brisbane?
I thought the rules prohibited this

I already know what tomorrow's present is though. Have been promised it for 2 years now.You only get one today.
Then you’ll have to wait until tomorrow!
AFL mic'ed negotiations this year to try to stop these sort of deals. Can’t see Carlton bidding.
1. We did a pick exchange early on with Brisbane which would have had some sort of agreement re: not bidding (although that was prior to us obtaining pick 3).
2. We have a number of highly rated father sons and academy prospects over the next two years, and I think the club will want to play nice when it comes to bidding so as not seek any unnecessary retribution.
Geelong might take him as a danger replacement if Oliver stays at Melbourne. The Hopper delisting would be pretty expensive. 7 year deal at $800k + (allegedly) . Maybe his new nickname could be "regional commonwealth games"
The clubs will start adopting mafia talk to disguise negotiationsAFL mic'ed negotiations this year to try to stop these sort of deals.
That would be pretty easy to get around.AFL mic'ed negotiations this year to try to stop these sort of deadeals
Yes, but more suggesting that there's be a decent sanction. I doubt Brisbane would have been including anything in a deal with Carlton when at the time Carlton didn't have a relevant pick. That would be pretty easy to get around.
Depends where the bid comes in. I think both will be 1st rounders to keep them honest with next years 1st
Then i think blues bidding could be seen as a positive gaining more points for camporelas late with their picks coming in. If they do then the ~2370 points they have, may need to be strengthened
Thats where they likely do a live trade at on blues bid turning 27 and 34 for example into more points.
If that gets to then thats where they start turning then into F2s and later points this year
Just checking now they seem good for most points with Ashcroft 3 and Marshall late 1st... so probably look at F3s and then late points if bid at 3, then if it gets to 5 look maybe more so at F2 range and late points
I am actually convinced now on why Cal reckons a Levi bid comes only at pick 5. I feel there is understanding with both North and Blues for Lions pick 27 & 34 to be nabbed. May be dependant on if Roos are trading pick 2 or not and to whom.
Maybe pick 27 is marked for North F2( if it is available and not traded). Pick 34 may be taken by Blues for 38 + one or more 60's picks.
If Roos get Pick 27 and Gerryn will get picked there before Freo has a chance.
From Hawks side, I am happy to trade out pick 33 for a F2 + XX as well, our list is well balanced and we may be happy to pick late this yr. If we have 2 F2's we can trade up to one of Suns F1 next yr as well.
Cats F2+45 for our 33 would be decent trade.

I don't think you can trade out once a bid happens. So they have to lay their bets early. 27 might get traded for future second plus some points, then increase points by trading down a few other picks and they'll be right. Probably end up with something at the end to either trade or use if they've got the vacancy.
