So far in my fanplanner team I have trengove, lobbe and gray.

I have heard rumours that gray is destined for the midfield this year, is this true - would he play a high possession role?. Also, Broadbent I think is an interesting one. He is classed as a back and is estimated at 200k... sounds pretty cheap, but will he get a lot of game time, and importantly, will he get games early?

thanks for any light that's shed on my queries.

Hey guys just a quick question.

Do you think Trengove will be in your best 22 in round 1?

I do. Chaplin will be suspended so we need a tall to cover him. It will come down to Pettigrew or Trengove. From what I am hearing about Trengove, everyone at the club loves him, so I expect him to get the first crack for the season. Whether he holds his spot or not will come down to form and match-ups, as Chaplin will return to the fold in round 2.

Cheers for that Waspy. :thumbsu:

hey guys, i need a ruck reserve and im tossing up between Lobbe (listed as fwd aswell) and Trengove (listed as a back). who will get more gametime / dt points?

also im tossing up between Broadbent and Ladson from hawks... who would be the safer bet?

Lobbe should get more time on the ground than Trengove, and has been pretty good for Dream Team points in the past.

Difficult call between Ladson and Broady, though Broady has a good opportunity to cement himself in the 22 with a few outs this year. I have both in my team, but if I was to choose only one it would probably be Broady.

Guys, in a bit of a quandry. Thinking for 314k that Carlile could be a good get as he is reliable and should progress. Even if he does I'm not sure if that will mean extra SC points though. Your thoughts?

Probably not, he's not the rebounding type. He might improve a bit, but not enough to be considered for your team IMO. If you want a cheapo Port defender I'd go with Broadbent.
Cheers for that.

SC query.

Taking into account price/value, who would you consider a better pick ... Boak (440k) or Pearce (370k).

Boak.

More consistant, would need to see at least a few good games in consecutive weeks by Pearce to consider him to be honest.

Boak is a safer bet, but Pearce could go OFF this year...

I would pick Boak personally. Will be more consistent, and will certainly get more possessions.

I'd got Chappy myself as he's my buddy and he goes alright.

I took Lobbe and Nik Nat for rucks back ups to Mitch and Kruezer.

I reckon Krakouer could be a good value bet and hartlett and trengove would be good back ups IMO.

I took Boak also as he is ready to step alongside Selwoods shadow I reckon

hey guys... i was just wondering what you guys think of how hamish hartlett is going?

and who do you think will get more gametime hartlett or matt thomas?

Just a quick one, is Lobbe considered your first back up ruck to Brogan, and how has his pre-season been? Thanks guys!

ATM I have Boak in my team and am considering Hartlett. I had Krakouer last year and he was a bit hit/miss.

Hartlett injured his hammy in the pre-season and will have a restricted pre-season as a result. I'd stay away this year, especially considering that there are lots of other good options at around the same price.

Yes he is, and from all reports his pre-season's been very good.

TBH I don't think Trengove will play too often after Round 1. We already have Chaplin, Chad and Carlile as automatic starters in the backline, which is already arguably too tall.

Arguably too tall? you kidding me? Chaplin can be used as the loose man (did well against the lions) as can Chad, so only 1 of those 2 would be a genuine defender, the other the run from half back. No way too tall. Find me a team that doesn't have 2 tall forwards.
