How has Chad Cornes preseason been, cus ive heard mixed news. And do u guys think he can return to his dreamteaming best? Or should i go with another premium such as broughton, grimes, fisher, gilbert?
Thankyoup

Hey guys, what is the boards view on Kane Cornes this year?

I've heard he's going to play more in the forwardline and I'm not sure whether this is a good or bad thing.. If he could kick a goal a game and still average mid 20 possies he could be a good buy. I'm a bit concerned with Port's youth policy though..

So is Kane a good buy this season?

Cheers :thumbsu:

I'd probably steer clear of Chad. While I believe he's had a decent pre-season and he'll always score well when he's fit & firing, you just can't expect him to play 22 games anymore. I'd go with Fisher from your list.

I'd wait and see with Kane what exactly his role is going to entail. I wouldn't be worried about Port's youth policy, there's no way Kane will ever get dropped. He will probably be a reasonable pickup and he is slightly underpriced but personally I think there are better options at his price. eg. Cooney, J. Lewis

Hey guys, two blokes im interested in atm are Boak and Banner.
Do you think Boak can take that next step up to one of the elites in the game (dt wise)?
If Banner proves himself in the NAB Cup can you see him playing quite a number of games this year? A good player to have sitting on the bench??

I will ask this again because I got no response, what output do you guys see from D Stewart this year? Early games, many games.. etc etc?:thumbsu:

Hey all,

Thoughts on two players, Salopek and A Moore? I thinking of having Salopek as my 4th mid and Moore my 7th forward...

Any Collingwood questions, fire away also :)

Cheers!!

Hey there are players such as Banner, Broadbent, Daniel Stewart, Trengove, Moore, Lobbe and Hitchcock likely to play games. And of these who is most likely to play the most?
Thankyoup

If he doesn't, I'll be pissed. Should be best 22 already IMO.
Now comon, we have really seen one game of him. Lets not pull another Thompson like last year...

Few views about the above:

Boak: This should be his breakthrough season, he has been discussed in length on this thread, and is a good buy this year.

Banner: Watch him throughout the NAB Cup. Had a good game today, may be difficult to keep his position with players coming back though.

D Stewart: Also another one to watch, played well today again, but will need to continue this form to cement his spot.

Salopek: Interesting pick, but could pay off. Sal should have a good year, and though I personally think there are probably better choices out there, he is more of a unique pick which could pay off.

Moore: Seen him in a few peoples teams, at this stage I cant see him playing too many games this year. Will depend on his form, and possible injuries. Played ok today, but there were better younger players. His round one position will depend on the remaining NAB Cup Games.

Broadbent: Played alright today, and is in my DT Team. Should keep his position, but may also depend on a few others who are coming back. Definately one to watch and a bit of a favourite pick of mine atm.

Trengove: Good choice as a Benched Ruck. Will play round one, but may be fighting for a position in round two due to a few players coming back. Pencil him in for sure.

Lobbe: Has probably been shown up in recent weeks by Westhoff in the ruck, so is fighting for a spot with him currently. Played ok, without being outstanding today. Needs to play games as he needs the experiance, and the Coaches seem to like him. Another to pencil in.

Hitchcock: Looks the goods, coaches like him, form has been good. Is still a rookie, though is currently expected to be promoted. Not entirely sure this will happen currently, so keep a look out. Fills a bit of a gap for us though, so one to keep your eye on.

Hope this helps

Hitchcock makes Thompson look like a spud though. And he's my buddy, I'm allowed to lavish ridiculous praise on him. :D

Gotta agree with this.:D

I hope the big guy plays against west coast!!

Cameron Cloke may get elevated ahead of Hitchcock (He didn't play today, but Choco said he was injured, and was impressive at training, he will probably play in our next game, so I'll withhold judgement till then).

Hey guys, I was just wondering how many games you think Butcher will play this year. I'm thinking of getting him as my 7th forward.

Probably none, considering he couldn't even get a gig in the NAB cup match. Will have Tredders, Salter, Schulz, the Westhoff's and D. Stewart to contend with.

Really? I thought Port would of wanted to get some games into him to fast track his development.

Anyway thanks for that info, I'll stay clear of him.

Yep, wouldnt put him down to be honest.

Moore would be a better option at this stage, though I would think there are much better choices out there.

Hows Lobbe tracking?

Been discussed in great lengths in the past few pages mate, dont particularly want to repeat myself haha.

Yes and yes. Pick him.

Do you think Rockliff will be best 22?
I am not a Lions supporter, but from reading reports on him on their board, he looks to be close to a lock for round 1 and a few games early on in the season if his form from the weekend keeps up.
