Hey guys. Obviously it's all guess work...but lets assume best case scenario here - what's the earliest you guys could see Hartlett cracking a game for Port?

Then assuming worst case scenario...what's the latest in terms of what round for getting his first gig.

Like i said can't determine form or what not...but just rough guesses.

Worst case scenario is that hartlett doesn't play at all this year. Our midfield stocks are very solid at the moment, so it'll take a few injuries for hartlett to get a sniff. Also, hartlett will need to be playing solid football in the SANFL prior to even being named as an emergency. His first SANFL game was ok and he will get better over the next few weeks so he may well crack into the side in say round 6-8, but it'll have to come at the expense of someone like rodan which isn't looking likely, so injuries are hartlett's best chance of getting a game.

Same question from me about Thompson.

Are there others who will be before?

Thompson is on the cusp. At the moment, toby is there to replace a tall, logan is there to replace a genuine midfielder/defender, and thompson can replace a midfielder/forward, it's just a matter of injuries and form and in toby's case, suspensions!

Wade Thompson

Just a quick question, where is this kid at? From what I read he has been elevated from the rookie list, played some absolutely brilliant football in the NAB cup.

I was really looking forward to watching him this year, linking up with the likes of Pearce and the Burgoynes.

Any info would be great, just another fan wanting to see some of that electrifying pace.
Cheers

Re: Wade Thompson

He's on the cusp of the 22 - he'll come in as a replacement for either gray, motlop, ebert or rodan if either of them get injured/suspended/omitted.

Re: Wade Thompson

Possible slight chance he may make the team this week,

Though there are a fair few going for the spot Westoff has left. Sounds as though the other Westoff brother may come into the squad.

(Of course, I traded him from my Dream Team last week lol...)

Re: Wade Thompson

I highly doubt we'll directly replace westhoff with a small. If anything, brogan will come back into the team moving toby up forward.

What is possible is that thompson and brogan both come in replacing toby and westhoff. We'll then have to move chad up forward as a second tall with gray and thompson spending more time in the middle. This would also work if say for example logan came in (instead of thompson), replacing chad in the middle.

Seeing my thread was merged with this Dreamteam topic, I'll just put it out there that it was not a a question regarding the merged topic!

I hope he gets a run and can emulate the form I witnessed against the swans NAB match.

Cheers for you replies.

Lade is looking set for a big year. Not sure he'll capture the same form as two years ago, but he should perform better than last year.

 Hmmmm. I haven't see your mob play this year, but Lade is not delivering the way I thought he might in DT. He looked good in the pre-season.

Any reason to think he'll come good? or should I cut my losses and trade him now?

How is he being used? I see he's getting 70% TOG which seems like long enough to get a few touches. Jolly, by way of comparison, is getting 73%.

^ Well, i don't think he can go any lower, but it's not looking likely he'll have a massive improvement. I highly doubt he'll get near the numbers jolly is producing.

Hartlett or Dangerfield...

Both in my team, need one of them on the Reserves.

You'd surely go with Dangerfield.

Dangerfield has played a few games and you have an idea of his output. Hartlett is about to play his first game so we have no idea on A) what role he'll play, B) how much TOG he'll get or C) whether he's suited for DT

Hey guys, whats the go with Davenport??? Is he gonna get a game anytime soon?

Davenport is in queue for a midfield role and atm he's behind a fair few players unless we get many midfield injuries (or suspensions ) or his SANFL output dramatically increases, it may be a while before he gets a game.

No doubt I will regret it,

But I have a really bad feeling about changing from Hartlett on. Might just risk it, see how I go haha!
