Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

You do realise that "designated kicks" out of defence don't actually count as statistics? OK, the 2nd disposal counts if they kick it to themselves and then kick it a 2nd time, but the 1st disposal doesn't count.
In SC points are actually awarded for kickouts whilst in DT the player must first kick it to themselves and then make a disposal to be awarded any points (as you said).

Sellar a chance for Round 1?

Has been dropped from our NAB challenge squad this week so at this stage you'd have to say unlikely.

Luke Thompson has been brought in, however at best he might manage 4 or 5 games this year unless our KPD stocks are struck heavily by injury. Down the track he looks like a great prospect, probably not this year though, needs another year at SANFL level to work on finding a bit more of the footy.

Anyone heard about Richard Tamblings pre season ? He is mid priced and worth it if his looking good. He once scored 128 in 1 quarter on supercoach, so if anyone can do that they are defently worth it

Cross him off your list, has had a below par pre season so far, whether it be his skills are down/ lack of fitness due to missing out on the earlier parts of the pre season or just fitting into a new team, he isn't playing at his best at this stage. Craig came out and said he is not in the best 22 either so it might be a while before we see him get back to his 09 standards.

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

Hey Adelaideans, I'm tossing up between Walker and Dangers. I know walker had a blinder in the NAB challenge, but don't know anything about Dangers form...
(for SC)

Also... Andy Otten, in the best 22?

Any help.

PS. J Kennedy for I think sub 400 is value IMO.

Cheers in advance

Otten is in the best 21.
Walker vs Dangerfield though is a tough one.
Once Tippett comes back, and if McKernan has spells in the forward line, and if Porps is getting in his way playing bigger than he is, and Knights being a hog, and Henderson getting the ball accross the Half Forward Line. Walker could be inconsistent.

BUT, I think he has higher value than Dangerfield this season.

fwiw - I havn't touched either. (I only have McKernan, Otten, Martin and Porplyzia in my team - have cut Callinan due to injuries, and Knights to free up $$$ to upgrade Callinan)

Interesting. Thanks for the advice.

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

Just having a look though the Team for round 1 thread and it looks as though 2/3 of people have Otten just out of the team. Is this due to form or injury interupted pre-season or what?

Also who do Adelaide supporters think is more value in the forward line Porps or Knights? Both in the past have averaged about 85 and are priced way below that.

Thanks heaps

Mckernann looking likely for round 1?

With his preseason form, Im certain he will be named. The sub rule suits him. Can play forward, defence and hybrid ruck. Im confident that even with Tippett returning to the side, McKernan will earn a spot.

Re Otten, I think people are leaving him out because he is coming off the knee injury and expect the coaches to ease him into full competition. But its been 15 months since the injury, and I cannot see Otten being left out of the side. He does suit the sub position because he is versitile, but Id be very surprised if he isnt named round 1.

As for Porps and knights, both have had their injury troubles, but Id definately pick knights. Porps has been ok this preseason, he missed last week with a small niggle but played in the most recent trial. But with knights, he kicked 3 goals in the last quarter for the weekends trial match, and with a couple games under his belt, he will hit his stride and make good money. He is well priced and hard to leave out of your side. Therefore, I think knights has more upside, but slightly less durable than porps.

porpas or dangerfield? do we see dangerfield exploding this year? he looks like his about to become a genuine superstar of the game will this reflect in his sc scores looking at close to 90+ sc points?

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

I hope so Richo. I've taken him over Walker. Dangerfield has said, through the media, various times this off-season that he is working hard at getting more ball and playing more midfield.

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

I have gone from a high of five Crows to now only one (otten) and thinking of getting rid of him too.

My reasoning is then I can just hope the whole team does well and not be barracking for certain individuals. Got burned by Crows players in the past too eg Bock and Tippett.

Sloane out for Foley. Crazy?

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

Not at all, Foley looked in great shape against the Crows (by far the best Tigers player in that game) and also did well the match before. Managed to rack up about 9 touches in the first quarter and didn't much too much of a problem finding it for the rest of the game. I think Sloane could be just as good but Foley is cheaper so it allows you to use the cash elsewhere.

Also, nothing worse then when the Crows win to see your Adelaide dreamteam player finish with 40 points next to their name, dulls the win and makes the loss twice as painful. :(:p

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

So now pre season is done and dusted everyone think Brodie Smith will start round 1? He's played all pre season games (from what I can see) and been in good form, plus I figured with the retirements last year and being a first round pick he's a good shot of starting for the first few rounds at least. Anyways I've got him in my back line and hopefully will be good for an upgrade.

the retirements don't really affect our team much IMO. Macca didn't play the second half of last season, Edwards retired early on, while Goody missed the last 6 games. Smith has played all NAB games so far, but the last game he only played half the match. at best, he might be a sub for his debut game, but at the moment i don't see him making our best 21.5, esp for round 1, unless there were further injuries or fitness concerns over other fringe midfield players.

I think it also has a lot to do with the fact that he hasn't done a lot in the MMC since the lightning carnival round. There are a number of Adelaide youngsters who have been pushing forward, thrusting their names in front of the selectors. Otten isn't one of them. He hasn't been bad, he just hasn't done as much to push his case as many of his immediate peers.

There's no doubt that he has the quality to make it back into the team and it will probably be sooner rather than later. However, I would be neither surprised nor upset to see him start the season in the SANFL.

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

Hey guys how did Knights and Otten go against Richmond?
Knights kicked 3 goals. Probably his best performance since breaking down in the 2009 semi final.

Otten was quiet.

Re: DREAM TEAM/SUPERCOACH - Please post ALL queries regarding Dream Team/Supercoach/Player Injuries

Will Moran get many games this year? Who will be playing as your 2nd ruckman?

Thanks.
