Hey guys

Matthew Boyd has been my captain for the last 3 games and has done very well, i'm just worried about this week though.

Is there anyone in the crows currently playing a tagging role that could keep boyd to a quiet game?

Well, I would expect Reilly to be tagging Cooney, with Doughty to tag someone else... Boyd or Griffen. Depends who is the most dangerous at the time I'd say.

Boyd will rip our midfield to pieces IMO. Cooney will probably attract the Reilly tag considering how well he played against us at AAMI last year which leaves Doughty to take Boyd/Griffen as NT Thunder said. Griffen has the more damaging disposal but Boyd gets a lot more of the pill so it's a toss up of who Doughty will go to.

Even if Boyd does get the tag though I would still expect him to score about 100-110 minimum. Our team leaks points at the moment and Boyd is in terriffic form so everything points to another big score from him on Sunday.

One of my mates saw Henderson limping badly at the airport in Melb. before going home. Is he injured badly or just a knock of some description?

Hey Crows,

Any news on the great man Andy Goodwin?? Everyone seems to think he will just play one more for his farewell but I held onto him an extra week hoping he can play out the year (and I can save my last trade)
???

No idea how Andy Goodwin is going but from what I have read Simon Goodwin won't be back this week.

Haha, thanks for that, 'Simon' is obviously what I meant, Andy Goodwin played a few years for the Dees in early 90s so think I subconsciously chucked it in.

Hope Simon gets up for a few more..... waiting for the injury list

I probably should have added this the first time...

Adelaide will be forced to wait at least one more week for captain Simon Goodwin (ankle) and Andrew McLeod (knee). Goodwin will keep wearing a moon boot until later this week but McLeod had a light run on the weekend.

That came out yesterday but with any luck we will see him back for the match after that because we really do miss his leadership on the field.

Thanks Dylan

hmmmm, moon boot does not sound to positive. If Heath Shaw comes back in for the Pies (and he should do) I can afford to give Goodwin one more week.

I'm in the same boat. Given the bloke has already called time, and will now be sitting out for 3 weeks, withing 3 weeks of the end of the season, even if he does come back for a kick or two the odds of him getting tons are very very long.

Lake will score shitloads against the crows this weekend so if you can afford to upgrade to him get him now.

Cheers, I am basically tossing up between Lake and Roo. I only have 2 trades left so I need to preserve atleast one.
My backline can probably survive without goodwin for a couple of week as long as Heath Shaw comes back in but I am currently relying on JB up forward. JB is only scoring 60s and I expect him to sit out the last couple so i am leaning towards Roo

Also, what are your thoughts on trading in Richard Douglas to the forward line? He scored 146 vs. Brisbane earlier this year, as well as 109 vs. Saints. Would he be a good gamble to bring in for a must-win league game this week?

Just an update for everyone that any queries regarding Dream Team or Supercoach, when people will be back from injury and training form (for the purposes of DT & SC) are to be directed to this thread.

To avoid cluttering and derailing other threads first offenses will be yellowed, second offenses red carded.

Cheers,

Talia might play a couple of games, but is a long way back in the line for a KPP spot at this stage considering all our tall blokes are on the track. Whilst he has the body for it, he struggled a little with the step up last year to Senior footy and had trouble accustomising to the bigger, harder bodies. Probably needs another year at SANFL level before he seriously challenges for a spot, although hopefully it can come round sooner.

Good to see the thread back :thumbsu: but surely we can start a new thread?
