More wise predictions from the Richmond faithful. When will it ever end?
Who could forget after the 2008 season when they stormed home to win something like 8 out of their last 11 and finished 9th (typical) and Essendon finished 12th we were hearing about that next Richmond dynasty led by the master coach in Terry Wallace and all that superiority compared with Essendon. 12 months later all plans lay in ruins.
Several other classic examples of the delusional visions of grandeur over the decades as well...
Let's put Richmond into perspective a little more for just a moment. Let's take two of their best midfielders, two of their best defenders (umm, do they have a best defender at Richmond?), two of their best running players & one of their best forwards (Let's see after Jack... we've got... yep, Brad Miller... what more can you say?) and see how they'd be figuring this weekend. It's going to be a fail of seriously epic proportions if they fail to beat Essendon this week, but the thing is they won't... see Richmond will be actually expected to perform this week against a finals side and we saw last week against a depleted Western Bulldogs and countless other examples over the years that the Tigers and pressure games just don't go together. Not to mention Essendon is an even side across every line and not having to rely on their full forward kicking a bag of goals every week and their two best midfielders playing cracking games to get them over the line in every victory...
The football world and future always looks great when the Tigers win their half a dozen games or so towards the end of every year when the pressure of potential finals football are gone to lure the football world into that false sense of security. Not much has changed and won't this year... no doubting the potential is there but the culture isn't.

Decided I'd use this as my one game of the year (besides Anzac Day) where I actually purchase tickets. Row B behind the goals on the second level for $20 bucks. Bargain.
I like it how Richmond's midfield is not as good as your's yet we ''only'' have Cotchin, Grigg, Martin and Deledio all rotating through, All which would be in the top 15 disposals in the comp, which mind you is 4 more then what your team will have playing. If you choose to tag Cotchin that is fine, Just be pre-paired for Dustin Martin to tear you a new one. Jack Riewoldt has been out of form and still kicking 4-5 goals a game lately, Oh and Nahas has got 30 and 31 possies the last 2 weeks. D/w Richmond we are rabble.
If our Back-line hold's up, I think we could win.

lol, great analysis, only one side has kicked more goals than us all year and we have 4 or 5 starters in top 20 goalkickers in comp incl the coleman medalist, but hey, where are all our forwards....sheesh sorry to add a little perspective

Maybe teach but it might be a bit late for me, the point I am trying to make is that phone thinks his opinion is so high and mighty that he thinks he has the right to tell people to stfu, which in my eyes just makes him a very small person who noboby listens to in real life so he thinks if he talks like that here it will have the desired effect... I find it is better to reason with logic rather than telling people to shut the #### up, which was phones' approach..

Oh yeah... and who is that one side who has kicked more points than the mighty Tigers this year? The same side that has also conceded nearly 300 points less after only 8 games as well... don't worry I'm sure that will all turn around when the next Matthew Scarlett in Kel Moore returns for the Tigers.

Hurley's a back. Simple as. Him not playing this week does not mean we're missing a player who can tear apart the Richmond defence because he wouldn't be there. Hence it being odd that people are talking about how he will be missed up forward.
