Yeah, I wish I had the extra cash to bring in Boyd but ah well, thats DT for you. I think Judd could be a decent option as I cant see him getting rested at all.
Im not too sure on Pendles though, how much ball is there to go around in the Pies midfield? Getting Selwood would mean I would have 3 Cat mids and if some of them were to be rested, it could kill me.
NDS could be a good option as well, though as with Hayes, Im not too sure whether he will be rested or not...
i wanna bring in Chapman but i don't know who to get rid of ???

Chapman is absolutely killing me and is 30+pt better on average than Rockliff

Yes, your best 22 is ridiculously strong, well done! Your forward bench cover is your biggest problem IMO (your going alright if that's your biggest problem 
). Some of your forwards are a little injury prone as well (as is Chappy). You must be in or around the top 100???

Who would be the best backman to get, money's not an issue.
I already have Gilbert, Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Kelly and Waters.

Your team is great but your forward bench is useless, so I'd be very reticent to sack any of your lock starting forwards because F8 is where you need to improve, and one injury and you'll need that trade for cover, so it makes no sense to waste it now. Although I will give you Chappy is a gun.
If you had MPP you could somehow flick things around to try and get Chappy and still give yourself some cover, but unfortunately you don't.

Sorry to all you knowledgeable DTers, but am I missing something?
Is there any reason to think that Chappy will not be rested, given his history, especially around this time?
I was not even considering him purely because of this reason (and I have decent forward bench cover - Davis and Fyfe)

And I wouldn't trade if I were in your position, still 7 weeks left for injuries.

You should've brought Chapman instead of Gia (whenever you brought Gia in)...you can't really justify getting rid of Harvey I don't think. Maybe Rockliff if he drops off (certainly not now, but he may in a few weeks as he gets tired) but otherwise I don't see how you can get Chappy in.

As I've said to everyone who says this...look at the difference between the ladder round 15 last year and round 15 this year. We need Chappy to win games. He'll only be rested if a) he pulls up at training as per a few weeks ago b) if and when we get to the stage a game is a dead rubber (ie round 22).

Or worse, you trade Harvey to Chappy as you suggest, so then Mitchell goes to the bench?
Either way, that's a waste of money to have on the bench...

Why Rockliff though? 108 over the last 6... I'd back Rockliff to out score pods for the rest of the year.

Not really - he's just using DP.
When Mitchell comes back he'll switch Harvey with McNeil, move Mitchell on to the field in place of McNeil, and sub Harvey on for Rockliff.
A bit of a waste to have Rockliff on the bench given his scoring of late but it does provide fantastic bench cover in the forwards.
Thinking of taking a risk and going Martin -> Blair which would allow me to go Webberley/Silvagni to Scotland + about 70k or Gilbert/Lake
Cant generate enough cash any other way to upgrade my last back spot and it is very important.
Martin is very important to have on the bench but I think I'm just going to have to risk losing about 40 points per midfield injury by playing Davis or Hitchcock instead of him.
Another option is Martin -> Cunnington and then Webberley -> Shaw/Russell/Hargrave - miss out on Carrots by $200. Better coverage but I dont think it's worth it.

Solid points and suggestion but Webberley wont get higher than about 230k and Hitchcock wont go above 210k so when I downgrade him to a 94.5k rookie with the 8k I have now Ill have about 124k in the bank to upgrade Webberley which would give me about 350k. Best I could hope for would be Duffield dropping a bit more but would most likely be able to get Fisher, Gilbee or Carrazzo.
Keeping Martin doesnt seem worth playing Webberley for a few more weeks and then still not being able to get one of the very best defenders in a Gilbert or Scotland. No?

You just don't want to do it though, Blair is a kid and Pies have depth so there's no JS and you'll be stuck. Unless a more solid rookie comes through in the mids, you'll just have to wait for Webberley to peak (round 18ish) and then downgrade Davis/Hitchcock (whichever is not playing or not scoring by then) and upgrade Webberley.
P.S. Webberley could well go above 230k if he keeps playing well.
