I'm glad Cotch has Dusty's best economic and lifestyle interests at heart. Just so long as he can reminisce and feel warm and fuzzy about Dusty remaining a one club player, thats the most important thing i guess.

But we traded Caddy to Geelong, He spent 4 seasons there before getting moved on to Richmond.

Having said that in fairness there have been many more good ones than bad but of course the bad stick in your mind.

Don't know if you realise this, but Dusty WILL stay a Tigers legend regardless of whether he plays for us next year or not. Maybe what you're actually afraid of is your own supporter base booing Dusty if he plays against Richmond next year.

There is nothing we could take from you currently that would be a like-for-like payback after you poached our captain (and best player), while you were reigning premiers and we were bottom 4.

In saying that, I don't think anyone actually cares about getting payback. Dusty would be an excellent forward for a team with lots of inside 50's (which we are) where he could utilise his footy smarts and strength a bit more than he would be able to otherwise. People want him because he would be a very good addition to our side

He also happens to know Hardwicks gamestyle a lot better than other options which obviously helps too.

This is about: Can Dusty provide enough positive benefit to the club to justify whatever coin we pay him?

If yes: Then come on up.
If no: Were not a super top up club anymore, Stay down south.

It’s natural to want an eye for an eye, but Coasty Martin is not about that, it’s simply if he can offer a benefit. However you are looking to bend us over for Rioli, after taking Lynch for nothing and at some stage the shoe will be on the other foot with more and more contracted players wanting out and the price will be significant as the president has been set
