Yeh I agree with that person who said not to be too agressive in the first month of the season.
I layed Port a couple of weeks ago to make the 8 at 2.7 and Im now backing them back at 3.4 as Iv changed my mind because Essendon dont look any good anymore. And Hawthorn have a much better chance of making it than I thought, so Im just going to get off and cop a small profit.
Struggling to find value this round but am looking hard at WC to bt Ess.

steer well away from the eagles... they will get smashed, and smashed by alot... they do not want to win, and essendons pace on the big ground should see them overcome the west tank eagles

I disagree, while West Coast have lost alot this year they haven't really been blown out of the water apart from 1-2games from memory. I don't rate Essendon and without Lloyd and a tiring young team I think they will just get over the line like most sides against West Tank Eagles. The value is Essendon under39.5, Essendon under 15.5 and West + Line.

If WC are trying, I think they will win, Essendon has some massive losses from last week and WC are tough to beat over there if trying.
But I dont think I can back them for the simple reason that Im pretty sure they wont be trying. They clearly tanked last week, dont see how it will be any different this week.
Maybe I will watch the first half, see if they are trying and then make a bet.

Decided to stay out of tonights game, the Roos B2B 6 day breaks plus travel was enough to not take them, should have in the end....was also going to play under the total points, again should have in the end!
Not much value this weekend, looking at Hawks and Richmond at the moment but other than that will be looking at totals and props this weekend

What do you think of Saints(-36.5) and Cats(-25.5) at the line? If saints are serious premiership contender they should tear the swans apart whilst Cats should also easily cover the line against the Crows.

Like those bets Dutchy, especially the Geelong/adelaide neither team over 25 in 1st quarter. If i was to choose knights over/under 1.5 goals i wouldve chosen over but your the expert on this board

Thanks! Luckily I didnt listen though, got on WC in the run, it was pretty clear they were going to win early on.
lost about 2% of my ROI this weekend.
All because of one solitary point by the Pies had a massive multi and needed the Pies to win by less than 40 !~
Of course I had picked some winning multis and some losing ones as well.
Geez didnt see the end of the Pies-Lions game but it sucks so badly that if the Lions kicked one more point/goal or the Pies missed one more goal it would have been a massive pay day for the weekend ! doh doh doh !!!!!
I think what hurts even more is that the Lions were leading at HT too, so the 1-39 option looked ok................
Im sure there are many many stories in here about misses by "just that much". lol
Its cool lost 2% where potentially could have made about a 20% increase, this is the business end of the season and the money to be made is now.
Interesting about the Eagles, the tank issue is now dead and burried for them, I think the Demons will win one more but which one? I think they will definitely not win 5, there is too much at stake esp as the Vic Clubs are more likely to fold if they cannot build a future with picks etc.

yep ill put my hand up rite now, my prediction was way off, just didnt expect 1- the eagles to want to win and 2 the young dons to play so badly.... anywayz at least i had the balls to make a prediction before the game, unlike others who come on here sunday nite and say ' what a week had a 10 leg multi got up cant belive it' won x amount of money man im good..... my 2 cents worth but goodluck to all

Hmmmm yeah I agree, hell I make a killing most weeks and I have an ROI that I calculate weekly.
If anything I would and do prefer to discuss my losses than anything else as thats where I am going to learn to do better in the future.
Yes I picked my tank multi laying the demons and eagles, which I lost as well. Which is great as I now know that the Eagles will try and win from now on. Be weary of the demons they have one win left, I still believe they will and do need a prioroty pick.
The Hawks loss hurt me as well, just didnt expect that insipid performance by them, to push the cats the way they did, they only had to duplicate that effort against the Power and it was going to be payday for me.
Usually if I pick 6/8 winners in a weekend I smash the bookies, oh well.
