There's no reason why someone like Shiel wouldn't join the Hawks. Imagine Mitchell who is probably the best first possession player in the comp feeding the ball to Shiel on the outside...

Keep eyes on the gold coast list, there are some juicy ones there too and i am not referring to the big names but the 2nd tier players, take their lesser named players to refresh our lists. We bleed out the current dead weights and replace them with fresh blood of higher quality. Although they may still be shit players but at least you have upped the floor and pushed the ceiling up as well.

Actually it's not so silly that the Hawks club system would be an attraction. It's pretty clear he's driven hard to best he can. This not a guy likely to to be partying in his spare time. Their system and Clarkson is still the most successful in recent times, and most likely to make a player the best they can be.
Wont happen though. They would have to take some serious pain in terms of players in a trade where we held the upper hand. They wont do that.
It's very unlikely any trade will be done this year, but if it was I'd prefer North for Preuss and then a haggle over what else they give us. To me Preuss adds to our campaign next yearand that's the compensation we need.
Yeah Tom Browne did say if a trade can be done he will leave reckon he's still a chance at staying put.
