How sustainable is the EK recruitment strategy if Pat is tipping in all the coin?
Surely this is not a long term plan to stay in Premier Division, got train wreck written all over it

Scanlon - 5 points as won the comp medal in 17 & 18

Bongetti - 4 points min

Coletta - 4 points

Klix - 4 points


That’s 17 points so don’t see how they can fit them in if they stay at 47 points. Can clearly see a repeat of this season happening again.

Coming from WRFL div1 which is classed as premium community footy. But I’ve just checked another PPV document and he might be 3 points.

Yeh I knew where he became 3 but the 4 I wasn’t. If he commits himself fully will be a massive signing but if he doesn’t then could be a bad move I hope he does though cos he’s a great fella and very talented player

The answer is it’s not sustainable at all. The committee (elected by the members) should hold the clubs power in there hands. At EK it’s Pats holding all the power. Even if he happened to stuff up they can’t get rid of him during a season or tell him that they will re advertise for a new coach for the coming season as he will pull out. He has to much control of the clubs future. That’s not a well ran successful club

So the league fu@@@@ up the player points. Your kidding yeah!! Clubs submitted player points on new recruits. I’m sure it’s going to happen again in season 2020. Question is will the league stand up and do something rather than be weak and useless.

Believe all the new recruits (except 1) will be attending and introduced on the night. I’m thinking this will be what the nights about rather than the spotlight be on the individual winning the B&F. Once again I totally disagree with this grandstanding attitude and could we see a few EK players heading elsewhere next season. Yes all clubs turn over players but a few younger types looking elsewhere for next season.

Yeah I agree. Most clubs have it at an external function centre as it’s great for players partners/wives/families etc to make a night of it and the girls dress up. I guess it just shows the difference in culture between clubs as this appears to be a normal boys get together.

*EK v HS games will have a lot of heat in them next year. EK have no plan other than win the div1 premiership full stop. There is nothing in place for if they do go up. There recruiting is all wrong if they are preparing for premier league. They have little idea by the sounds of it.

Go through there entire list they plan to put on the park for season 2020 and please tell me who is capable, willing to play higher level, willing to take a substantial pay cut to play premier, to be a competitive player in premier league. You will need to name at least 12-14. I will start it for you

I hear they are at full capacity budget wise. And that’s allowing for injuries. I hope they can fulfill there obligations come end of year.
If I was signing up I would be requesting payments every week or fortnight.
