East Keilor playing at max 47 points. West Coburg playing at 25 points. Great effort by WC to get close and it’s great to see a club playing at such low points and being competitive..

Craigieburn stepping up and are clear favourites. And playing at 32 points has them in a great position if they do win it.

I couldn’t name him, but he was reported on 3 charges so it will be easy to find out I guess.

Yeah there teams manager as well as representatives from Tulla has to talk to the umpires but it was a substantial delay restarting after HT.

The game did boil over a little and get a bit physical but the umpires didn’t do an awful job by any means.

2 young guys who don’t deserve that crap!

The umpiring by one particular umpire was deplorable! 7 goals from free kicks that were genuine marking contests with genuine contests paid free kicks. Did not give one the other way when footy was down the other end. It’s not about being equal, it’s about being fair and even with the same paid for both sides!

They do stuff all which just encourages poor behaviour. Have some courage EDFL and do something..

The hearing was rescheduled. I believe the accused wanted more time to prepare. His defense will be based on the fact he believes it was racially motivated and not the fact he was throwing punches.

Here is an idea, suspend the coach of these players as well for the same period (or at least 1/2) and suspend the team for 1 week. That will teach them a lesson. Some coaches are out of control or have no idea. Yes it’s difficult to get coaches but should we tolerate this excuse.. NO

Disgraceful is an under statement, however how can the EDFL board complain when they allow players and Presidents with more than 16 weeks to be involved in our competition even after the request of Rowan Sawyers who pleaded with the board to disallow their applications to be registered.

Potato Clare did that in the reserves. I’m referring to junior footy. Seriously how does an under 13s player attempt to strike an umpire. That’s not normal yeah.

Turbo, the EDFL is privileged to have Rowan Sawyers, unprecedented. Rowan and Jeff Geischen oversaw the best years of umpiring in the AFL. If the EDFL board and tribunal are not supporting someone like Rowan Sawyers then we have no hope.

Sawyers also needs to stamp out the umpires double standards of umpiring one team one way and another team differently, in the same game. No calls are just as bad as wrong calls.

Hey mate, it’s not an easy job and thankless one. Although I agree with you in that some clubs get better treatment than others there is nothing that can be done so we move on. Only suggestion if clubs feel badly treated they should send in video to the league highlighting some examples and ask for a reply.

Question: Do ALL clubs treat umpires the same? I mean provide umpires with certain drinks, food, fruit etc. A free drink post game?? It should be a standard criteria or else that type of thing can manipulate the system.
