EK showed today they are on top for a reason. It was in the end a dominant win. No Hill and Lyons down in first minute, it did not look good. But to EK credit they gave as good as they got in what was a pretty brutal game. The brilliance of the Grabowski brothers all day and top work from Carey in ruck early set the win up . A very good team effort however with many contributors and will give them much confidence going into finals. Rd 16 v Tulla gonna BE HUGE.
Westy did not look like the team that beat EK with authority in Rd1 though . EK simply would not allow them this time to play the short kick, uncontested mark game that they used so effectively. Keeps top 4 alive.

I turned off the game at 3/4 time what happen in the last lol
Wait to CB get them on home ground and we’ll see how good EK is
Kicked long and used the ball better. Game came to life with 5 minutes to play
I agree but I expect good sides especially in the top 4 or 5 should be better at their home ground. But the finals are played on neutral ground, then it’s anybody’s game . We were great today at home as we have been all season but away we lost to Tullamarine and westy.

Sat down this morning and watched the last quarter of the broadcast game
Hobbs and Eliot were huge in the last and probably should’ve got more attention then they got as they seemed to just do as they limed
Micallef and the tanners very good also
I was at districts v MV yesterday and with the standard I saw yesterday Sk will be in div 1 next year

Tulla will be hurting after last weeks loss and will bounce back this week with a big win over OP. Tulla by 80
WC will be full of confidence after beating Tulla last week. Danger game this one for CB, particularly being at Shore reserve. Eagles still to strong by 25.

Agreed. Can't see OP getting within 10 goals of Tulla after last week. Tulla will be burning about that. WC v CB is a tough one. The Shore-tress makes this tough to pick but if CB want to finish top 2 they simply have to win.
OP v TL in a few wks just about the biggest game of the year. Lose that and OP might be on trouble

I’m hereing rumours out of the Holdun Center that Mason ***** is being fired by Nathan Bucksley after his very disappointing effort tonite. My sauces are telling me he is being deported to West Coburg for season 2020. Such a great thing to have more good AFL talents in our league with Fyfe joining Oak Park and ***** joining the burgerers. Wonder who will be next ?!?!

Mo Kakour coaching Westmeadows next year from earlier reports
Interest in div1 in this forum seems to be waning but how could it when today we’ll be witnessing Cameron “the great man/that you Jesus?/purveyor of the world’s finest fare” Hare return to senior ranks with Tullamarine! Not to forget it’s against his old mob Oak Park, did he write this script himself?
Jokes aside I think harey will compliment Tulla’s young midfield nicely and they will get the job done fairly easily today.
In the only other game today (why do we have a split round??!?), could it be a banana skin game for CB as they push for top 2. I’m tipping yes given it’s at the confines of the shore-tress with heavy conditions, won’t help CB’s quick brigade. I’m surprised WC don’t play all their games at Shore reserve, it’s a great home ground advantage, other teams hate going there.

from what I hear about Mo Kakour he is a good operator Marby where not happy to lose him
Shore reserve is the worst ground in the EDFL no senior football should be played on this ground. To small and terrible conditions

Seen a few games there and that tree hanging over has caused some issues!
Yes mate the tree kept the ball in play and the boundary umpire had a few issues with it today
I don’t disagree, I’m just surprised WC willingly give up the home ground advantage

Not sure how big the advantage is you tipped a win for them went down by 10 goals
I tipped them as a roughie for an upset, I wasn’t exactly putting my house on them. They were winning at half time mind you.
My point is opposition teams would much rather play WC at Coburg city oval instead of shore reserve.
