9 clearances out of EK to Keilor Park.
How strict is the league on the 2 clearance rule from 1 club to another? Is it still a rule?

Seems like the rules active since EK has declined a few according to the website. Probably declined more but website might be a little behind.. who knows

Good on Keilor Park for having a crack. Just cant see EK clearing all players.

Bullshit rule...to have 9 want to leave says more about EK than it does about the rule.
Football is a business right...then you either get rid of the poison or you need to accept the collateral damage....pretty simple in my eyes.
To bring in 40+players in 2 seasons is not great. I know a few of these and not all is rosy at Overland Reserve.

What’s it say about EK? You clearly have no idea about football. How hard is it for a div 2 club to contact reserves and thirds players from a div 1 club who play for free and offer them $200 a game to leave..... not rocket science. Even easier that the coach of KP was the EK ressies coach of last year and knows all the players on personal basis I assume

Id be surprised if they get any money - might get promised some but Keilor Park basically broke
Probably try come running back by round 6 when they havnt been paid and realise they are playing for free in a worse team with no flag potential

Not quite true
Committee member told me after the season in recess they were able to save some money... this year were only paying players $80 per game across the board
And were intending on spending more in 2020 to become more competitive

Not true at all from some people connected up at KP. They are not offering big money but these players just don’t see a future at EK and want to play in a senior team. EK need to take the medicine as they have done a lot of recruiting and have chased multiple players from certain clubs. So it’s ok for EK but not for any other club. The old saying “what goes around, comes around”

Turbo ek went after players from different teams. Would you say the same thing if they tried to take 9 hillside players or pascoe vale ? lol don’t think so mate.

I can only deduce from this thread that the typical modern park footballer is a complete w***er, and the majority of supporters aren't any better.
You must have a short memory mate but did pat not do the exact same thing when he got the job at EK? Reserves coach becoming senior coach so brought over 9 players from deer park who mostly played reserves?
Scerri, Portelli, King, Souki, Maiava, Parsons,Odonal, Cadman, Eliepa to name them, add klix this year and this 10 from one club.
Difference is he was the reason 80% of those players were at deer park to begin with. Clearly deer park knew that and didn’t care otherwise they would of blocked the transfer wouldn’t they

Agree that if EK are wanting to sign a heap of new players there is definitely going to be some fall out. Players can come and go as they please these days and I dont be-grudge any player that wants to leave if they think they will be stuck playing Reserves in Div 1 and would rather play seniors in Div 3. I am just interested how it will turn out at KP as I think they are basically similar to what Jacana were last year. I have doubts they could even afford to pay $100 a game to the players coming.Not true at all from some people connected up at KP. Difference is KP have juniors and had 17s last year I believe. They have gone through a rebuild of some kind by building through juniors so slightly different. However Jacana have had more senior success of late but at what cost?

I’m not saying it’s right but for 9 players to want out there must be issues of some kind as that’s a high number.
You surely wouldn’t begrudge or hold back a 3rds player from transferring for senior opportunities surely.
What I will say is I’m not of fan of 3rds footy being used in the wrong way in where senior players use it during bye rounds or other reasons. That’s not great and I would much rather them have a “chance” to play reserves or senior footy.
